Fairy Tales of Hans Christian Andersen by H. C. Andersen Book Summary

Hans Christian Andersen was born on April 2, 1805, in Odense, Denmark. He was one of the most famous authors of his time and he will remain one of the best fairytale writers of all times. He wrote many novels, poems, plays and travelogues, but he was best-known by his fairy tales. Although his fairy tales were the most famous of his works, his popularity was not limited to children, for his the themes of the tales exceeded age and nationality.
He died from liver cancer on August 4, 1875, in Copenhagen. He had written 168 tales, among which, the most famous were “The Ugly Duckling”, “The Little Mermaid”, “The Snow Queen” and “The Emperor’s New Suit”.
His stories are everlasting classics, that will never stop shining. By being gifted to write in a simple language, still able to give vivid descriptions in his stories, he pulls the readers from the reality into the stories, showing them a world of fantasy and magic. Apart from being interesting, filled with adventures and magic, his fairytale also have a moral value that teaches children on the right things and behaviors.
