Good read. Good plot, strong characters, and fast pace.

Ice Blue. I have found my new favorite detectives...Lord and Lady Hetheridge. Good characters and well thought out story line. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series!

Good Read. A British mystery in the tradition of Christie and Sayers. Wealthy types with some aristocracy and a genuine mystery make for an engrossing read. Internal politics at New Scotland Yard mixed with some humor round out the experience. First in a series that cries out for the reader to experience the next and the next.

Fun!. Light, interesting mystery, easy to pick up & put down as time permits. Satisfactory, logical ending. Nice.

Great Characters and a Murder Case That Keeps You Guessing. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. It was my first book by this author and I will definitely be checking out the other books in the series. Each character is very well-developed. They have their idiosyncrasies and it makes for a very interesting read. Anthony Hetheridge (Tony) is not the kind of character I regularly read stories about. He is getting ready to turn 60 and is a reflective mood. He has never married and has no family and has devoted himself to his career in law enforcement. Kate Wakefield is also a member of the police force but not of his class and half his age. She is not shy about expressing her concerns about her supervisor in public when they first meet. It is a laugh out loud moment. He decides to "rescue" her from the supervisor and she begins to work on his team. Kate has a crazy personal life and she brings Tony into a new world. The homicide they investigate is well written and introduces a group of interesting characters to the mix. There are plenty of suspects in the murder as the victim wasn't nice to anyone. I like a mystery that keeps you guessing and this one definitely did. I could see it going several ways which is a credit to the author. I would definitely recommend this book to those who like a little romance with their mystery. Great characters, fun dialogue, and a well-written mystery that will keep you guessing makes for a great read.

Good book. This was very interesting. Lots of different characters and lots of different things going on in the book, but it was easy to keep track of. I liked the book.

Interesting story. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I though this book was good and it was interesting to see the thought processes of all the characters. I thought it started out a little slow, but otherwise was a good read.

Oh what a good read!. Just finished this story and I had to buy the rest of the series. A hint of romance, a long buried secret and a couple of murders, what more could you want or need. I love British police stories. They are always intense.

Ice Blue is a great title and for a good reason. It is a great story with the ending twist been unexpected in the end. It is a great story that can keep you in suspense if you like a good story.

Kept me interested. I like books where I can’t guess what is going to happen. Although the main character made some bad choices she wasn’t unbearably stupid like some female characters are written. Life threw her some bad curves. And the possible love interest…leaves you wanting to read the 2nd book. 😉

Enjoyable murder!. I really enjoyed this murder romp. Kate is a working class girl who has fought her past to progress within the male dominated Scotland Yard, however her mouth sometimes runs away with her. When caught by SC Hetheridge having a full blown verbal row with row with her superior, Kate is certain that she will loose her job, but is given an opportunity instead to prove that she has the capabilities to solve the case. Both the lead characters were interesting and had good interaction coupled with the eclectic assortment of supporting characters it meant for an enjoyable and sometimes funny read. Also with Tony being an older man yet still portrayed as attractive was refreshingly different. I am looking forward to more from the is duo. I was gifted this book in exchange for my honest opinion

Ice blue-good read. I'm a fan of British detective novels and this one was very entertaining. The characters are interesting and the plot moves along as well. Writing is mature, yet new with well drawn plots. I will continue in the series.

Ice Blue. I've been a fan of British murder mysteries for many years, and this book did not disappoint. On the contrary I found it very compelling and was disappointed when forced to set it aside to attend to real life! Definitely looking forward to reading the rest of the series, and other works by Ms. Jameson.
