No Man's Land by David Baldacci Book Summary

After his father is accused of murder, combat veteran and Special Agent John Puller must investigate his past and learn the truth about his mother in this New York Times bestselling thriller--but someone hiding in the shadows wants revenge.

Two men. Thirty years.

John Puller's mother, Jackie, vanished thirty years ago from Fort Monroe, Virginia, when Puller was just a boy. Paul Rogers has been in prison for ten years. But twenty years before that, he was at Fort Monroe. One night three decades ago, Puller's and Rogers' worlds collided with devastating results, and the truth has been buried ever since.

Until now.

Military investigators, armed with a letter from a friend of Jackie's, arrive in the hospital room of Puller's father-a legendary three-star now sinking into dementia-and reveal that Puller Sr. has been accused of murdering his wife.

Aided by his brother Robert Puller, an Air Force major, and Veronica Knox, who works for a shadowy U.S. intelligence organization, Puller begins a journey that will take him into his own past, to find the truth about his mother.

Paul Rogers' time is running out. With the clock ticking, he begins his own journey, one that will take him across the country to the place where all his troubles began: a mysterious building on the grounds of Fort Monroe. There, thirty years ago, the man Rogers had once been vanished too, and was replaced with a monster. And now the monster wants revenge. And the only person standing in his way is John Puller.

Puller is awesome. As usual, the books start somewhat slow, and then you cannot put it down. This was the best one of the series in my opinion, but they are all great.

Another Good Puller Story. Yet another good chapter in the Puller series. Lots of twists and turns along the way with a satisfying ending.

No mans land. Level of language, sentence structure, theme, emotional intelligence - etc. unsophisticated to point of incoherence. No remotely, believable or interesting. Seems, this author has deteriorated as well as lee child and Michael Connelly in their recents duds. It is nearly as weak as sanford's most recent Virgil flowers unreadable. My first ever review. I read three books per week and this book really disappointed me because I have tried three times and I just have to stop.

It could happen. Great book. Pulp fiction at its best.

No Man's Land. Once again the Puller brothers have taken us through a fantastic journey of suspense and righting wrongs. Bravo!

No Man's Land. Long build up with a relatively quick ending. Enjoyable to all those familiar with the series and characters.

No mans land. Action and suspense start to finish,I believe his best work yet

Family Closure. John Puller is one of my favorite characters. It was an emotional roller coaster for John. Robert is involved and Veronica back on the seen. There was a little Jason Bourne in the story but it worked. Looking forward to another John Puller story!

No Mans Land. Book was awesome as always a great story about The army life. I couldn't put the book down.

Long time Grisham reader. Gripping from start to finish. Loved it!

No Man's Land. Truly superb. The author is one of the best adventure writers around.

Boring again. I do not understand the high reviews for his books. I have read a few and this one seems like all his others. He fills the book with boring descriptions of everyday tasks like two pages on how the character found and checked into a hotel room. The writing is just boring.

No Man's land. Excellent read! Enjoy the characters ever since my first The Camel Club !

Wow!. This was one of the best books I've read in 15 years! Great suspense, great characters. I am in the Army and this series is the reason why I am headed to CID school! Starting book 4 now!

No Mans Land. Another great page turner from B. A little sci-fi mixed in with a great ending. Six stars all the way.

No Man's Land. Another Baldacci winner. I don't think I have ever been disappointed with a David Balducci bool and this one delivered.

No Man's Land. Riveting and enticing. Many twists and curves. Could not put the book down till the end! Great summer read!

No Mans Land. David Baldacci. Another excellent read in this series. In a military base at Fort Monroe in a building designated as Q a genetically engineered soldier has been made. Against his wishes. The perfect soldier. A virtual killing machine. Agent Puller is working off the books to find at what really happened to his mother who disappeared one evening never to return home. The emergence of the perfect soldier and his mothers disappearance coincide. Suspense, action. Intrigue…again a stupendous read!! My highest recommendation!!

No Mans Land. Both my wife and I throughly enjoyed the story. Thank you. Waiting for your next novel. Regards, Bill and Carol Vaughn.

No Man's Land. I've read almost every Baldacci book. This one was just too far fetched and rather than being a page turner like most of his novels, I couldn't wait to get through it. But that's not bad for a prolific writer like him, can't hit a home run every time out. I'll still be anxious to see his next novel.

Great Book!!. My husband got me this book for Christmas ( he's not a book person). It looked interesting so I gave it a shot. SUCH A GREAT BOOK!! Kept my interest the whole time. Start to finish....and I don't often say that.

Good read it. Baldacci!!! Great story about scary stuff and the dark side of our government. I may be naive but believe things go on that we cannot imagine and we are paying foR it

Enjoyed it!. Good book. Enjoyed staying up late to read it. Had some interesting twists. Tied up most of the loose ends and little plot holes.

Wonderful!. Another great book by David Baldacci. Full of suspense and heart. Very enjoyable and satisfying!

Another Great Baldacci Book. Baldacci works his magic again. John Puller along with his brother and Knox going another mystery to the pages. No Man's Land is a great book. Starts a little slow with two stories, but all comes together again. An interesting finish for maybe the next book.

No Man's Land. Unrealistic, worst Baldacci book that I have read to date. Save your money.

No Man,s Land. Worth every minute you go with this story. It pays you back with interest. My only suggestion is Veronica and he should be a lot further along. Some steamy romance would enhance his "Horatio Hornblower" image. Good job.

Just one great story. Wonderfully written full of suspense, a bit of romance and thrilling action. Buy it.

Fantastic. Like all others in this series just amazing. Hope there's another one to come. Or maybe will Robbie or king and maxwell.

Thoughts on story and eBooks cost. I enjoyed the story of Roger more than Puller. Puller just seems boring and all talk (give some action please) while Rogers story hooked me from the start. And I've had enough about the greatest soldier of all time, Puller Sr. Please stop. While I look forward to David's next book I really question how the cost of eBooks continue to rise. $18US is outlandish for a digital copy. Can someone explain this to me! And I mean this for all authors as this seems to be the trend now. Paper back or hard cover book costs are one thing, bit digital? I'm not buying it. And I will mean this literally unless things change.

Surprise ending. The book was great all the way through but the ending was a bit unrealistic.
