Set The NIght On Fire. Set The Night On Fire by Jennifer Bernard, is the first book in her Jupiter Point series and Ms. Bernard hits this story out of the park. Jupiter Point is a city in northern California where you can see the stars better than anywhere else. The people of Jupiter Point say “Remember to look up at the stars.” The hero is Sean Marcus, former town bad boy who left Jupiter Point thirteen years prior after spending a night in jail. He returns as the leader of the Jupiter Point Hotshots wildfire crew. He is out to prove that he is no longer that troubled boy and can now be trusted. The heroine is Evie McGraw, the town sweetheart who has a secret. She has never talked about that night thirteen years, the night that changed her life. Sean is the only other person who knows what really happened that night. The minute Sean sets eyes on Evie his plan to stay out of trouble goes up in smoke. Evie is all grown up and beautiful. Sean is the only person Evie can talk to about that night. She believes he is the one to help her turn her life around. Evie gave up everything to protect her parents but now she has to make a decision. Should she keep silent about what happened or put her heart on the line and let Sean help her heal from the past? This was a fun and entertaining story with loveable characters that you want to support and cheer on hoping for that happy ending. The characters were well written, authentic and complex. The story line was riveting and kept my attention to the very end. I genuinely enjoyed reading this book and had trouble putting this book down. I highly recommend this book, and all others previously written by Jennifer Bernard to all readers and I cannot wait for the next story in this series.

Set the Night on Fire 😟. Sorry but this was a very slow read. Writing style very sophomoric. The female lead, Evie, was so weak I just wanted to smack her. Liked the male character, Sean, better but the whole story just seemed to draaaage out. So glad I paid 99 cents for it should have been free. Paid 99 cents for the next one & hopefully it's better.

Set The Night On Fire. Loved this book so much!!!! Who doesn't love a book with firefighters and romance!!! I fell in love with the characters from the very beginning. Evie is all about family, she is loyal to her family and friends. Sean is the bad boy coming home to show the town he has grown up and is a better man than the one who left town angry at the world. I also fell in love with Jupiter Point. It's a small town where the motto is don't forget to look up at the stars. I was drawn into the town and felt like I was right there through the whole book. Jennifer Bernard is a genius once again!!!!

Great story. This is a well written, engrossing, entertaining, book. Great story, the characters came alive and I was unable to put this down until the story was completed. A happy ending .

Series. Who doesn't love a strong, handsome alpha firefighter. Sean is trying to overcome his bad boy persona as a teen and Evie is trying to find her true self. Together they help each their. Jupiter Springs was made to sound like a perfect small town where anyone would like to live. Looking forward to the next book in this series.

Awesome. Awesome story! Loved these characters and can't wait to read more in the Jupiter Point series! The writing and pace of the story are fantastic and the chemistry between Sean and Evie jumps from the pages. Couldn't put this one down. Town bad boy Sean Marcus returns to Jupiter Point all grown up and ready to prove he's not the screw up the town once thought he was. His mission is to get a Hotshot wildfire crew up and running and nothing can get in his way. When Evie McGraw shows up as beautiful and sexy as ever he can't help but worry that she'll become a distraction. Staying away isn't an option though. These two have history. A history that needs to be set straight and healed over. And maybe, just maybe, move forward. Don't miss the start of a great new series. I highly recommend it.

Having been a fan/reader of several other Jennifer Bernard novels, I was hoping it would live up to what I pictured in my mind. I was NOT disappointed!!! This novel is the first in the series, so if you're looking for HOT, Sexy firefighters who likely find their HEA, don't look any further. This novel is about how things in the past can change and influence your life forever. It's about taking control of your life and your past so that you can move past it and LIVE! When difficult situations occurred in Evie's life, she buried her head in the sand. She didn't want people to think badly of her and she didn't want to "make waves". She grew up in a family where nobody brought up anything that would cause a commotion. With a sick mom who is easily agitated, Evie worried that bringing up her painful past would cause her mom further stress. So she chose to ignore the situation--until Sean comes into town..... Sean comes back to town to prove to them that he is NOT his dad, that he is a good man. He was hired to start up the new Hotshots crew for Jupiter Point. Sean thought coming back to town to do something positive and helpful to the community, would finally prove his worth. What he didn't expect, was Evie all grown up. He can't stay away from her, but feels undeserving of her love. Sean is the only one who truly knows Evie and her past. Will Evie risk upsetting her family and friends for a chance for her HEA??? I absolutely loved all the twists and turns at the end of this novel!!! I love the possibility of Suzanne and Josh....I can't wait for more novels in the Jupiter Point series!!!

Wonderful story!. Set the Night on Fire is the story of Sean Marcus & Evie McGraw. Sean was Evie's brother's friend. After his parents were killed in a plan crash, Sean went to live with the McGraw's until he disappeared. When Sean came back, he was a hero & in charge of creating a hotshot team in Jupiter Falls. he wants to prove to the town that he isn't a screwup. Evie has opened a gallery in her hometown showcasing photographs. She dreamed of traveling the world taking pictures but gave that up to help take care of her mother after her diagnosis of Parkinson's. Sean saved her one night & is the only one that knows what happened. Sparks fly when Evine & Sean meet back up again. The chemistry between them is hot & intense. Will Sean gain the respect of the town? Will Evie keep her secret or realize it's time to stand her ground & let it out? Jennifer Bernard has a talent for drawing the readers into the story & her characters lifes from the very beginning. By putting Sean in a life or death situation, she's ramped up the danger in the first chapter & has the reader emotionally vested in his survival. she then keeps you involved with every twist & turn on Evie & Sean's journeys. Evie is on a journey of self discovery. She needs to learn that what happened wasn't her fault & that it is time to live & love again. Sean's journey is to get past the shame of his childhood & open his eyes to the truth. He is worthy of love & the town has always supported him, not looked down on him. The characters are well thought out & realistic. The narrative is descriptive & paints the scenery in your mind as you read. I could place myself in each scene & watch it all unfold. The sex scenes were loving & tasteful, even when Sean was still trying to say he wasn't in love. The tenderness he felt was written into every gesture & action. the supporting characters give depth & richness to the story & lead the way to a possibility of numerous books. I loved Josh & his interactions with Evie's cousin Suzanne. His quick wit & sarcastic humor gave a lightness to scenes that were dark with tension. I can't wait to read the story of Suzanne & him. I would recommend you settle down with this book when you have time to read it from cover to cover. I couldn't put it down. I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest opinion.
