Begineers only!. I know now that I was impulsed when I bought this so average book about 'life-style', whole foods, eating right and gym rutines. I ate this 276 pages book in about 3 hours, most of it it's so average and I felt so mislead in the whole road. 12,99 for this book it's a robbery. For begineers maybe this advices could help. I had Mike Dolce in other pedestal. As a MMA practitioner, eating-right guy and a gym rat I felt very dissapointed with the poor content of this book.

Wonderful !. This is not just a diet guide , but a complete guide to changing your lifestyle. It really is great for long term results and not just a fad. I have purchased both this book and Living Lean. Both are great.

Game changer. If you are serious or at least curious about making healthy lifestyle changes then DO NOT HESITATE. Order this book now and commit yourself to the Dolce Diet where you will find simple easy to follow guidelines about living the life you want. People don't really know what this books about. People say this books a beginner level and not a really diet it's not about any of that it's about cutting weight for competitions get you facts people

Own the paperback. This is the second of the dolce diet books I own and both have helped me transform my lifestyle and find a way to make the diet my own and work for me. People an say anything negative they'd like and that's fine because your allowed an opinion. Just dont forget that this is a detailed explanation of a life style change with detailed excercise and dieting tips. Along with recipes that you can follow precisely or use to make if work for you. Enjoy. I know I did and still do to this day. I can proudly say. I have a dolce body.

Great for beginners.. First and foremost, I thank Mike for trying to help people. But, for someone like myself, that has been into fitness and nutrition all my life, it's not going to help much. I majored in Kinesiology, and studied nutrition. Literally, one recipe in the book is chicken breasts with salt and pepper and bake. If people don't have that down by now, then they need a lot more than just this book. The exercises, the recipes, the tips will not help someone with a lot of experience. You won't learn anything new. For someone just starting out, it's a great book to start with. Godspeed everyone.

This is legit. The Dolce Diet is bar none the most practical lifestyle change. He explains his philosophy, and gives you recipes that you will not have a problem following. Whether you need to get healthy or look great, the dolce diet will help you along the way. I'm a personal trainer and I recommend the dolce diet to all my clients because I believe and follow it myself.

Best book on lifestyle/diet on the market. Is is simple? Yes! But most of us aren't even doing it, no matter how simple it is. Buy it, read it, live it, and change your life forever!

Dolce diet: Living lean. Book is awesome. Changed my life, my eating habits.

super simple. This book is OK, but not anywhere near great, nor worth $15. This 178 page book took me less than an hour to read, with a great number of "pages" being super simple recipes. One page was, no lie, "avacado, remove the pit, and eat like pudding". Seriously that is one whole page? Not bad information, but not much explanation of the science behind it. I'm sure this guy knows his stuff, but this is a very basic look at fitness. My advice is read the Primal Blueprint, 4 hour body, or get a years subscription to the Crossfit Journal.

Not the detailed resource I'd hoped. I've followed Mike on Twitter for awhile and seen the praises he gets from the likes of Quinton Jackson and Vitor Belfor. Mike must be fantastic at what he does to earn these Kudos. Yet, there's not enough info in the book to educate a beginner - and no added insights for someone that's a wee beyond a beginner. I still think Dolce is an expert and worth listening too but for strength training look at "Starting Strength" by Rippetoe. You'll save yourself a bunch of bad habits and probably some injuries too. For nutrition look at "Eating for Life" by Phillips or "The Paleo Diet" by Cordain. If you're looking to lose weight, a must read/listen combo: Fat2FitRadio podcast and companion book: "Fat 2 Fit: Getting There and Staying e" by Ainslie and Turley.

Easy read to get shredded!. Seriously a very well written diet plan that gives you step by step instructions on how to eat and even how to workout if your a beginner. I recommend this book to anyone looking to improve their overall well being. Either you follow the plan or you don't but all the tools to succeed are provided. So get on it!

GET THIS BOOK!. I have the print version of LIVING LEAN and I also just bought the ebook here on iTunes so I can have it on-the-go. I feed my family from the recipes in Living Lean and even though they are all picky eaters, they love it! As a mom with two toddlers, it makes me feel so good knowing I'm feeding my family healthy food. And it's all so easy to make! I love Mike's story in the beginning of the book, too! And the workouts and exercises are easy to follow and get you results. My girlfriends have all bought the book as well, and its become the health bible among the moms in my circle of friends. I highly recommend this book to everyone! Get it!

Redefining "Diet". The 2nd book by MMA's guru of nutrition, Mike Dolce. The Dolce Diet redefines the word "diet" in Living Lean. It's not a fad nor any type of diet that is restrictive of any certain nutrients. Most diets lean towards short term goals while depriving you of vital nutrients claiming that those are what are making you overweight. It's simply a marketing scam that often is unhealthy and is made to simply set you up to fail until the next fad comes out to take your hard earned money. Living Lean teaches you the simple principles of a better way to eat that will not only help you loose weight, but keep it off by helping you become overall healthier. Includes some easy to follow grocery list, recipes, workouts and more! You don't need to stick to these set recipes either it's just to help you get started on a better way to live, you can easily try making your own recipes off his principles. Though, many of Mike's recipes have become personal favorites of my own. Using The Dolce Diet, without any exercise, I lost 32lbs so far all within only 2 months. Prior to using The Dolce Diet I was eating reasonably healthy (not Dolce healthy) and training 5 days a week before an injury prevented me from almost any form of workout so I was not a very overweight individual to begin with; I had no idea I even had 32lbs to lose! *Not to say you shouldn't exercise because of course you should; I was just unable to during that time. Forget what you think you may know about carbs, calories, etc. and see for your self why so many athletes are Living Lean now and you won't be disappointed!

Changing my lifestyle. its a lifestyle not a diet... with that being said i am one of the people who thought it was a cookbook and am NOT disappointed in the book. anyways, im a 25 y/o that has been "dieting" and trying to live a better life. my brother had introduced me to this LIFESTYLE when i had told him i wanted to focus on a better me. i started going to the gym to release my positive endorphines and made some of the recipes and to tell you the truth i have been feeling a lot better of myself, my self-esteem is getting better as well. im progressing into a more positive lifestyle with better eating and healthier living. so yes this book is very helpful. It does give you some recipes, some meal planning and work out routines but again its a LIFESTYLE people. (: Thank you to not only Mike Dolce but to my brother as well(who did recommend this to me).

Accurate, Proven, & Simple. Everything fundamental in life explained elementary and broken down in basic easy to understand simple steps. This book shows you the basics in living a lean lifestyle and positively changing the way you think about health and fitness. I love the basics breakdown because the way I learned to eat before was at a restaurant. I would arrive at a restaurant pick up a menu and say "huh, (scratch my head) appetizers are eaten first then a soup or salad. Okay my entrée is my main meal and then a dessert." And sometimes the waitress would asks me if I would like an espresso or coffee. I didn't know anything about only eating earth grown nutrients every 2 to 4 hours depending on what I did and what I'm going to go do. Including eating only until I'm satisfied not until I'm full. But also never counting calories only making every calorie I eat count toward what I am gonna do for the day. I read this book in a day and a half because I could not put it down. I will continue to read it every month just to keep everything fresh and clear.

AMAZING. Mike Dolce really has something special here. For anyone serious about getting healthy this is for you. His work speaks for itself and this is a must have.

Best Diet Book. it's the greatest diet book, but realize that it's a lifestyle! A great lifestyle of living lean!

Dolce Diet. For a book claiming to be about nutrition, theres really not much here. The beef of the book is workout routines, while only about 100 pages is actual diet info and/or recipes. The 100 pages of actual diet material was great, but i felt a little mislead

Beginners Only. Good inside look at Dolce's past. The diet info is definitely for beginners. Experienced athletes will be disappointed...should have been around $4.99 and that is pushing it.

Basic stuff. If you are new to exercise and nutrition, then this is the book for you. If you know the basics of exercise and nutrition, you probably don't need this book. Unless you want to learn more about the author and his stories, you can really get the same info on exercise and nutrition (& recipes) online. I was just trying to see if there was anything different with this system. But no.

Living Lean(for life). Great book filled with food and recipe ideas that never leave you hungry and full of flavor. The exercises and treadmill workouts are for real and produce results. Also on Sunday's Mike Dolce actually takes your questions through twitter in case you need some more advice on reaching your goals. This book is a proven winner I'm on day 80 and have lost 45 lbs while improving my strength and cardio and have never felt better. Do yourself a favor set a Goal now! No more junk food in your body get off the couch buy the book Living Lean and make it your life again and no one can help you more than Mike Dolce! Just hope a cookbook with his name comes out that would be a great supplement to a great program!

The Dolce Diet. I've had this book and his "3 Weeks to Shredded" in my collection for a while now. Plain and simply put, if you want to change your body for the better and are willing to properly discipline yourself and follow Mike's recipes and guidelines; you can successfully change your lifestyle to promote healthy fat loss as well as look and feel fantastic everyday. Through this book, I've fallen in love with cooking and eating healthy. I've gone from a chubby 150 pounds to a lean 139 without doing any crash dieting or insane exercise schedules. I stuck to Mike's way of living and eating and haven't and will never look back. LIVING LEAN is definitely a book I highly recommend for athletes and anyone interested in a healthy lifestyle change.

Best life plan I have ever tried. At 21 I could be in better shape. When I start the dolce diet I weighted 225 at 5'11''. When I was a senior in high school I was a starting varsity Athlete in football and wrestling as a Sophomore. I was 5'11" 185 all Muscle. My senior year I tore every Ligament in my left knee in the second game of my senior football season I lost a full ride to western Oregon. I gave up when that happened and slowly started to see the weight add on. Over the years I tried motivating myself to diet and exercise more but never had the Motivation to commit to them. As a Christmas gift my mom got me a year pass to the local gym. I was talking to a guy in the locker room about how to lose weight and fast. He recommended looking into the dolce diet. I bought the book on iTunes and read it in one day and made a meal plan and work out plan for a week. I've been using the dolce diet for one week now and I've already lost 5 pounds. This is the first diet I am actually motivated to use everyday because its not just another diet it is a lifestyle change. I can't wait to see the rest of the results from this amazing life change. I'd recommend it to everyone in America. Thank you mike for sharing your wisdom.

Average. Maybe mike dolce in person training you is great but this book is very average. Most of the stuff in this book is in your everyday health magazine. Basic eating plans and workout routines. Kinda regret paying 12.99 for it but live and learn.

Living Lean. This book is a great resource for anyone who wants healthy and tasty recipes. Definitely worth checking out. I lost about 15 pounds using this book and kept it off. Loads of simple, effective exercises also.

Very vague!. If you are looking for a detailed plan to help you lose weight, this is not it. Very disappointing.

Some good points but disappointing overall.. I brought this book on recommendation and have read it through within a few days. This book makes some good points and for someone who is just starting to learn about food then it's a good start but I was hoping for more insight into nutrition then this book provided. For someone who has perhaps read other books and knows a little then this book doesn't inspire, it says about eating clean which I believe most people if they really reason with themselves would know how to do - How many people can honestly say a Pizza is good for the body? It may be good for the soul as a treat but honestly, who can agree that a Pizza is good? On this premise the book makes the point that you should eat whole foods that have been as near to non-processed as possible. Solid advice. The book doesn't cover such topics as macronutrients, their role in the body, how the body uses protein/sugars/carbs and doesn't explain why missing meals meals is bad, although there is great debate about the bodies Starvation Response. My main point is I was hoping for some real gems of advice from someone who's been looking after their body for as long as Mike has been and from his experience in the fitness world, sadly, for me I'd say the book didn't deliver but if you are just starting your journey then buy and buy today.

What a book!!. Brilliant read! Would recomend this to anybody who is looking to eat healthier and change your way of life for the better! Mikes work can be seen in the MMA world with the athletes using his diet/methods and the results can be seen for themselves! This isn't a stupid fad diet, were the weight loss is Unsustained! A bargain for the this price!! You won't look back!

The dolce diet. This book is like the bible for all martial artists and mma guys, trained since I was 7 years old and tried so many ways of dropping weight and holding, for me it's been hard but in one week Iess than one week I've lost 6kg with no dehydration or cutting food, love it and sticking with it great food and great advice. Greatest healthy resource out there. Common sense, real, healthy living doesn't get any better, love it!!!

Too general and vague. This book offers some easy steps to follow and a nice assortment of recipes, but is way to general to actually follow. There are more testimonial and biography pages then dietetic advice an explanation. For example nothing is really mentioned about pre/post work out snack, meals or supplements etc. Although there isn't much to the book, the information in it - is interesting, but as I said above it isn't very fulfilling for the $12.99 cost. I assumed he would have had a break down of some of his athletes every move, workout, diet and supplement plan, but this was not the case.

BOOM. Who better than 2013 MMA trainer of the year Mike Dolce. This guy is incredible...no fad diets just real natural food. Mike puts into perspective everything from fitness & nutrition, this is a brilliant book! Thanks Mike & all you do for the community.

Pathetic book. Let me spare you the $13. Eat whole foods, do Arnold Schwarzenegger's workout from Pumping Iron, and do 5 sessions of 60 mins cardio per week. There was more content in his 30 page life story intro than in the last 230 'pages' of this book. The last 230 pages are recipes and pics of people working out.

Awesome. This book has inspired me to get fit again, it's impossible to not get fired up by the Dolce crew

Skip this one. This book is a good reference to a few good recipes, nothing more. This book does little to nothing in the explanation of why your eating the selected foods other than saying processed foods are bad. If your looking for recipes then buy the recipe specific book, but If your looking for the science behind the recipe then unfortunately look elsewhere.

Dolce Diet. This book is for the absolute beginner. If your knowledge is limited about nutrition and exercise, then this book will benefit you. If on the other hand you are knowledgable about eating clean and exercise, then this book is a complete waste of time!!!

Dolce diet living lean. I can't believed I bought this book. He basically bragged about his achievement but never explained how he did it. You can learn more by just checking some free website about bodybuilding. I want my money back.

Move on. This book is a memoir combined with a whole food recommendation. Don't waste your time and money. Unless you are eating fast food daily you won't cut up on this vague plan. There are also references to the 3 week shredded plan which make you feel like you should have bought that book instead-but it has a $40 price tag. You will want your money back with this one.

Amazing for people who actually want to lose weight. Amazing! If your willing to actually help yourself!
