Good book. One of his best. Travis would be canceled in our world, it’s very interesting to read in a past era like his.
Shades of gold and blemishes. Muddy politics but great writing...
Apple?. I think I would focus my rage on Random House instead (or perhaps in addition to). BTW, the paperback version retails for the same price.
At bargain at this price. Enough with the El Cheapo campaign. You're lucky to have MacDonald in a digital edition. If you want them for a little bit of nothing, there's a ton available used in paperback. Go away.
Seriously?! $11.99?!!. The Travis McGee novels are classics, and some of the best gritty PI novels ever written. However, these gems were written in the early 1960's, and as great as they are, Apple is WAY outta line charging full price as if these are new releases. Shame On You! Don't you guys already have enough income?!

A Deadly shade of Gold. MacDonald must have been payed by the word for this one. Tedious, wordy, complex. Would have been twice as good with only half the words.
