WOW!. Just got done reading this book.... It's my new all time favorite! I love the entire community of Gnaw Bone! Love it! LOVE IT! The Rooster Restaurant story was great!

This is the book that never ends. One dimensional and drags on. The dialog is awful. Babe, honey and darling are in every sentence

The Gamble. The gist of the 'story' was good, but I agree with audiofilly, it was much too long and repetitive. This book was free and while I enjoyed the storyline and the mystery of 'whodunit', I'm not interested in the onslaught of detailed intimacy between characters. To those who enjoy this style..happy reading!

The Gamble. There simply isn’t enough words to describe KA books. They’re fantastic and utterly enthralling. I’m quickly working my way through every one of her books and they all never fail to be amazing. I feel liking I’m writing the same review for each, but no kidding, each one is amazing. Just read and enjoy being sucked into the KA universe, where you have no choice but to fall in love with each and everyone of her characters.

Love!. This is one of my favorite KA books. There is so much emotion, adventure, genuine 'swoon' in this book, what's not to love?! Currently reading it for the 2nd time and loving it even more than the first.

Perfect fantasy. I was worried that ADD had made it unable to read anymore but this book hooked me in and I couldn’t put it down.

Wow. Max and Nina’s story might now be one of my absolute favorites. Zero filler in this book; every single word is meaningful and threads the story together perfectly.

Great story. Never a dull moment

Great beginning, boring middle. This started solid, then there were a series of ludicrous distractions keeping the lovers from being together. The lovers are in a remote cabin together and people are literally coming to knock on the door every time they try to get together. I’m trying to skip a bunch of the middle to get to the HEA. I get that the author is trying to write a real story instead of smut, but this feels like a two week therapy session instead of a romance novel.

Wonderful writing. Couldn’t put it down. Read it non stop for three days. Lots of twists and turns. Great character development. Really enjoyed this book.

Just Adorable!!. I fell in love with this book instantly!! I loved how Nina and Max bounced off each other! You could feel their chemistry! This was a great read! I found myself laughing a lot out loud while reading it when they were going back and forth😂😂. I have recommended this book to many people. Cant wait to read all of her other book. ❤️❤️❤️👍👍

Unbelievable. Just when I thought the stories of the Denver Elite (Chaos MC, Unfinished Hero's, Rock Chicks) couldn't be beat. I find the Colorado Mountain Series, The Gamble is a multi twisted tied up story that is well written and you won't figure out who did it it the final chapter.

Sooo good!!. This was my first read by Kristen and it was SO STINKING GOOD!! I had a hard time putting it down. Found a new favorite author for sure!

The Gamble. Wonderful, spicy love story but so much more. The characters were so alive and true to life. I would have enjoyed it even more had the language not been quite so strong but the story was SO good I still couldn’t put it down. I finished it in less than two days. Intriguing to the point you never know what is going to happen next. As everyone in the story, I loved Max! He reminded me of my own “Mountain Man”!

Great. This was a great book

Too long, too sexist, too repetitive, too fluffy. Mountain Man Max takes London solicitor Nina hostage when she journeys to Colorado to take a time out from her engagement to disengaged London businessman Niles. Nina falls for “wonder Max” the sexy neanderthal who owns a nice cabin in the woods. Someone gets murdered and nobody cares. Nile belatedly appears to talk sense into Nina. Nina is not interested in sense. Some other people—lots of other people show up. All are sugar sweet except for a few, who are icy cold, and a couple who are murderous. Much rich food is cooked and eaten. Many clothes are cared for, worn, and discarded. Many, many F-bombs are dropped. Most of the characters have given up on ordinary words, preferring the F-word in place of adjectives, adverbs, and verbs. Much bragging is done regarding the F-ing of so-and-so by so-and-so. Much public claiming of the heroine is done by the hero. In short, the hero is a controlling jerk—a stalker-in-waiting, the heroine is an idiot, the reader is disgusted about the lost hours of life. I only slogged to the end to see if I was right about who the murderer was. Disappointingly, I was right, right from the beginning. The heroine is supposed to have lived in England a long time and everyone else (except for the milksop Niles) is supposed to be from Colorado, but nothing in their modes of expression indicate that. When the Coloradans aren’t talking like something out of Heehaw, they are using words and phrases they must have learned from watching Dr. Who or Sherlock. All told, this book is a mess, and I won’t be reading this writer again. I think I got this book for free. I hope so.

Hot men, exciting adventures and love. This book was everything Kristen Ashley and more. Loved it as much as I loved each Rock Chick book but liked the various twists and turns. Highly recommend this one as I do most of her other books

A Must Read!. This book is well written and contains great characters. I honestly couldn’t stop reading until I reached the end. I read a lot of books but only a few I tag as “Favorites”, of which this is one!
