An Immortal's Song by Carrie Ann Ryan Book Summary

Amara Young has always been on the outside looking in. She’s the one lightning-struck woman out of her group who has never felt as if she’s belonged. She lost a year of her life caring for her dying friend, but now it’s her turn to find out who she is. Only when the time comes, two men stand in her way—two men who claim her as theirs.
Tristan Archer, fae royalty and Conclave member, has waited over nine hundred years for his fate. And now he has two chances. While one knows his path, the other seems blind to what they could have. It will take more than a simple risk for Tristan to finally have what he desires…that is if Amara and Seth can overcome their own uncertainties.
While the other two in his life are fighting themselves and their futures, Seth Oceanus knows exactly what he wants. The younger brother of a Conclave member and relatively young in his realm, he knows he’ll have to prove himself so others see him for who he truly is. As the triad succumbs to their cravings, they will have to fight more than their overwhelming feelings in order to survive.

Almost perfect. The story was awesome and different like Amara! I loved it but why so short that what made it not perfect!

Hoped for more .... “Received this ARC free for an honest review. I really liked this book. It’s reminiscent of its predecessors in this series by way of romance but it seemed a little rushed in storytelling, lacking action and I wish this book catered more to the characters involved (Amara, Tristan and Seth); rather than the characters of the next book. I literally had to go back and review how many pages this book was because it seemed like a novella instead of a novel. The story breaks in between regarding Eliana and Malik, and it did just that. It broke the flow of the current story line. I feel that it didn’t live up to “Dante’s Circle’s” reputation. There were plenty of action in the previous books but this book fell short. I kept waiting to get to the big fight scene, especially with the knowledge of the villain and it wasn’t there. As I mentioned earlier, I really liked this book. Amara had been through so much and to find not one, but two lovers to fight for her well-being was great to see. I’m also glad that she stood up for herself too. The other thing I noticed was that her relationship with the other characters wasn’t forthcoming. It alluded to a falling out of sorts with her feelings of being left out. It just seemed disconnected. Truly this book could have been a standalone and not connected to the series or perhaps a spin-off of the series. Other than the powers, I can’t see it.”

Awesome. This book is awesome. I didn't want to put it down to do anything else. It really draws you in.

Fae, Mermen and Sirens oh my!. The closer we get to the last story, the better Carrie Ann Ryan gets. So these last two friends seem to be the most mysterious. We didn't hear much about Amara until she watched over Levi, and even then, we didn't learn much about her. Tristan is Levi's best friend on the Conclave, so it's no surprise he ran into Amara. I do like how Seth worked his way into the mix. Amara, Tristan & Seth's story is very different from the rest of the circle. I actually liked the different approach to fated mating and true halves. For many reasons, I think Amara was the strongest of the circle. She was willing to take a leap of faith without fighting fate, so to speak. Instead she embraced what could be instead instead of fighting what was. I just really liked this story. I think Carrie Ann Ryan gets better and better with this series. I can't wait to see what is store for Eliana. I feel like I know less about her than any of the rest of the seven, so think she has the most potential for the unknown. I will be super sad to read the last of this series, but at the same time I can't wait to find out how it all ends! Thank you Carrie Ann for making a powerful world and sharing it with all of us.

An Immortal's Song. This book was awesome. Read the entire book in one sitting.... It's that good! Can't wait for the next book. This series has been truly a joy to read.
