Teacher. What a crock of vegan baloney.

Wow. What a life changing book!!

Great!!!!. It's amazing!!!!

New lifestyle. This is a great practical guide to fantastic healthy living. Following this guide I have lost 40 pounds and feel like I’m in my 30’s again, and at 53 that feels pretty amazing.

Deceiving. This book is a vegan bible. If you are not looking to be converted, don't bother. I feel deceived by the intro to the book. I would never have purchased if I knew that the entire book was meat-bashing vegan-pushing rhetoric.

Not impressed. A lot of time spent preaching and reiterating, this book can be written in one chapter. Anyone that recommends Mrs.Dash seasoning is an idiot in my opinion.

Eat to Live. Well documented and inspiring. Only criticism is the emphasis on no saturated fats. The author does clarify on this in one section in the book, but leaves the impression that fats in general is bad when in fact, fats like from coconut oil is not only safe but healthy and needed in our diets for proper nerve and cellular function and cellular and tissue repair. It is important to emphasize which fats, its source and how much is appropriate for people to consume. It is dangerous to say no to fats. Other than this, i would definitely recommend this book as a starting point on how to eat healthfully.

Eat to Live. Loved this book. So much sound information. My goal was to eat healthier for longevity. I dropped 10 pounds without trying. I feel so much better!!

Hola. Hey, let's be honest this book sells the diet in the chapters. You feel committed and excited to try out Dr. Fuhrman's advice. Then Chapter 8 hits, and the manuscript layers on the surprise ending -a hell of a harsh dieting regimen. Close to no dairy or meats and eating tons of fresh vegetables and fruits in order to achieve dieting results are dynamics that aren't shocking. Practically becoming a vegetarian will make anyone lose weight. I just finished the book, and I will make an effort to let the information make tracks in my life, but eating close to no meat and dairy will be extremely harsh for me.

What a great read!. The book was wonderful and full of nutritional sense that the average American doesn’t understand. We are spiraling out of control with our health and most of us have no idea why or how to correct our actions. There is so much misrepresentation in our society about nutrition. Dr. Fuhrman’s book will show you the way. The facts are there.

Vegan. I bought this book because I was sick and tired of feeling and being unhealthy. This book was a tremendous help in beginning a new lifestyle and approach to eating. After an adjustment of a few days, I feel much better and eating healthier is doable. My only complaint is that I wish the book had more recipes. If you are ready for a healthier lifestyle, this book will help you begin.

diet. to the person who said this is a diet that you lose weight fast and gain it back just as fast....this is not a diet as in a temporary thing you do to lose weight. this is a lifestyle change in your diet. the word diet just means food that you eat. the word diet does not mean weight loss program. if you are looking for a diet program that will help you lose weight fast and not gain it back even when you go back to eating fast food, processed foods, and whatever else is detrimental to your body that does not exist! if you want to lose weight AND keep it off you have to change the way you eat for the rest of your life.

Eat to Live. Thank you so much for the knowledge in your book. I am extremely overweight and suffer from many of the ills listed. My daughter is on board with the eating plan. She is a young adult but on her way to poor health due to being overweight. My husband has many ills also but at this point wants to continue the poor eating habits. I am LDS (Mormon) and we have The Word of Wisdom. (D&C Section 89) That tells us how to have a healthy body. It is very similar to your guidelines. Thank you again

...... The only way to "Eat To Live" with these recipes is if you starve the rest of your family or make a doctors salary. I bought almost all the ingredients for the Anti Cancer Soup and it cost me like $50. Wanna go organic? Try about $60-70. That will be the most expensive bowl of soup I ever ate. It better cure everything!! :-)

Permanent Solution. This book has changed my life. I'm down 25 pounds, improved all of my stats, and feel better than I did 20 years ago.

terrible. This is not a good diet, it is just like atkins that you lose it fast and gain it back just as fast..

I've read every diet book-this is life changing. There were so many eye opening facts in this book- 100 calories of steak vs broccoli, broccoli has more protein! I have been vegan for 10 days, down 4 lbs and feeling better then I have ever felt. I am already a slim 120, but after so many friends getting breast cancer who seemed to be the picture of health, I wanted to know what I could do to help protect myself and my family. It might be to late to change my fate but my kids are now eating a ton more vegetables and I feel more informed about the choices I should be making.

Great results. Better editing needed. The content of the book is fantastic! I've been following the suggestions and have already lost 3 pounds in 5 days. A lot of parts are repetitive but that helps engrave the information. Only a few word choices I cringed at

Amazing book!!. This book is an absolute must read for everyone! My dad recommended it to me and I read it in a week. I'm 23 years old and about 30-40 lbs overweight. Again, I totally recommend this book to anyone wanting to "eat to live"!

This is the one. If you only read 1 more diet book your whole life let it be this one. Combines researching thousands of existing studies with using foods to heal in his own practice. No agenda other than what is best for our bodies right now. Changed my life. Not a fad like dukan, Atkins, zone, south beach. Comprehensive and life changing with not only weight loss but health, vitality and freedom from disease.

With this book I lost 70 pounds.. This book really changed my life. It really is the most phenomenal weight lost book. Combine this with the book eat stop eat and you’ll be healthy in no time. I hope to meet the author one day.

Simply the best…. I am a geek when it comes to learning about health. The concepts and principles laid out in this book are the most powerful and logical I have come across.

it's not just another 'diet' book -- it's about healthy eating. This book has literally changed my life. Yes, I lost weight following Dr. Fuhrman's meal plans, but more important is how healthy I feel every day. I had acid reflux for 4 years, and all the doctors could do is prescribe pills that don't really work (yet have terrible side effects), but now my acid reflux is completely gone. After about 2 weeks into the diet it disappeared and I haven't had it since (a few months now). I don't have acid reflux any more. There are a million diet books out there with mixed results, but this book is the real deal, because it's not about going on a temporary, fad diet (though which people typically lose a few pounds and then gain more afterward) -- it's about changing your eating habits for the better for a lifetime. And it works. I cannot recommend this book highly enough.
