Great book. Ive been a fan of jesses work since I used to read motorcycle magazines in the late 90's early 2000's. Always thought he was an interesting person as well as a fabricator. couldn't keep my hands off this book, although I feel as if the life before west coast choppers was very detailed and after that it went by fast, very quick small stories....there is no detail of why he closed the shop or why he moved to Texas or how he met kat Von d but all in all it tells a very hard struggle and upbringing, awsome stories and the way the man sees life though his eyes, Wish the book would have never ended though. Seriously recommend it...

Jessie James...inside out. I have always the products and shows of Jessie James. I judge this book without biased. The book displays the good with the bad with amazing imagery and detail. I can almost envision myself watching him throughout his life in the corner of the room. This book is a must read for fans as well as individuals struggling with addiction, marital problems, and child hood baggage. Thank you for the read Jessie James

Incredible story of an incredible man.. Regardless of your opinion of Jesse, it's impossible to read this story and not feel the pain that this man has endured. Yes, some self inflicted, but overall, he is an amazing man who deserves happiness and peace. Peace within.

Good book. I went into this hoping to find a reason to dislike Jesse James more. I was a big fan until the recent news of his infidelity with Sandra B. Totally lost respect for him after that. But the book was a nice insight on where he came from, where he's been lately, and maybe the reader now has a bit of a picture of where he's going next, and most importantly, why. Too many verbal "quotations" to be believable, unless JJ has a photographic memory. But I was pleasantly surprised with the book. Best of luck and Godspeed Jesse!

The making of Jesse James. What an amazing surprise this book was! I literally couldn't put it down. Jesse opens up in ways that you would never imagine and gives you insight into what makes a guy like him tick. I highly recommend this book.

Jesse James, still human. Go ahead, continue to hate this man for cheating on Sandra. Pretend like he is the first and only person to cheat. This autobiography shows you that even though one moment defined him as a tattooed biker that cheated on America's Sweetheart, he is still a very caring man who faced many demons from childhood to present. Bottom line is that no one is perfect in their own way. I commend Jesse for caring for his kids and those less fortunate and I still see him as a master of his craft. Now listen, it has been a good solid 2+ years since I took the time to read a book and I didn't want to put this one down, read it in 2 days. Worth it! I wish nothing but the best for Sandra and Jesse. Hope the healing continues for them both and everyone involved.

American Outlaw review. Jesse is surprisingly honest in his book.... He isn't looking for forgiveness in his book, simply telling everyone the way it was and the way it is..... I always liked the guy for his incredible work that came out of his "West Coast" garage, after reading this I wish him serenity, personally and professionally.....It was like his life to date, a roller coaster of a read.....

Even if you have never ridden a motorcycle in your life, or if you feel that what he represents is wrong, this is an intimate, truthful look into the life of a man that above all is caring, loving, and talented. My wish for Jesse James, is to continue to be a positive role model to his children and his fans.

Surprise surprise!!. Wasn't sure what to expect from the "dude that cheated on Sandra bullock" but I coolant put it down! I definitely have an entirely different view of Jesse James. Excellent book!

Exellent read!. I'm not the type that reads a lot of books but this was a great book, it kept me entertained and reading all the way through! It's nice to see both sides of the Jesse/Sandy story. Great book!

Jesse James American Outlaw. Really good book, Jesse James is a real guy who lives in the real world that all of us regular folks line in. A real talented guy who overcame what could have been a really messes up life

Great read. When I was younger I was a really big fan of Jesse James. He lost a bit of his luster with me when all of his transgressions came out. I have to say though this is a great book. It's a great look into the mans life and a real eye opening experience book. Buy it and enjoy.

Reads like a dime-store novel. I really wanted to like this book, but I only made it a little less than half way through before giving up. Instead of simply telling James' story it tries to dramatize and dialogue everything, probably in an attempt to hold the attention of readers who don't usually read biographies. But the first-person narrative is so bad that at times it's almost laughable, and undercuts any value that the real story might have. It's like a bad reality TV show....the events 'might' be real, but they're so over-scripted and over-dramatized they make me feel like It was all fantasy.

Awesome. Like most everyone else, I was a Jesse James fans. I was also a Janine fan. After Sandra and Jesse divorced, I have to admit, I wasn't a Jesse fan anymore, especially after hearing that he cheated on her and broke her heart. I had slowly turned around and was giving Jesse another chance but after reading this book, I'm a fan again. I respect a man who admits his wrongs and tries to learn from his mistakes. Thank u for sharing your life's story with us. I hope u share the part two of your life with us later. Ps.... Thank u for also including the legend, Boyd Coddington in ur book. He was a great man and legend in his own right....

American Outlaw. I heard Jesse talking about his life on an interview with Howard Stern and I knew I had to get this book. I bought it the same day and had a hard tome putting it down to do my daily tasks. Jesse really takes a hard look at himself and shares a lot of family "dirt" which really gives the readers a better understanding of where he came from. It takes a real man to admit he has made mistakes and Jesse James did that in this book. Good read! ~Christy, SoCalRiverrat

Great read. It's been a long time since I read a book that was not a shop manual or tech article but I have followed Jesse's career for awhile and figured it would be an insightful read. The first few chapters were interesting as I could tell that this was certainly someone retelling Jesse's stories the best they could. After I got past that I really sunk myself into the book. It was a lot of what I heard in bits and pieces over the years but having it in order really helps you to see what a strong willed individual Jesse was. Obviously no saint but the book really helps you to see that he had compassion and dished that out when needed. As we get to end of the book is when it really started to hit home with me personally and the age I am, how all of a sudden we start to struggle with our past-present and what we feel should be our perceived future. I am proud of Jesse for giving it his best chance and ultimately finding a way to peace in the most unlikely place for him. I wish Jesse the best in the future and thank him for unintentionally opening my eyes to the joys of reading again.

Jesse is human...he's not perfect.. A lot of people have judged this man because he broke Sandra Bullock's heart. Just like the rest of us, he's made plenty of mistakes and hurt people that he cares about. Our choices are the symptoms of something deeper. I loved reading his story and I'm thankful for his wanting to share it.

Decent book... Good book. Nice to see the humility one person can have. The problem is that no one in Hollywood stays married for a few years, with the exception of a few, the only reason he was given such a hard time is because he was married to "Americas sweetheart" it's a shame. He is a very talented builder. The world should give him a break.

Good story. Sad, but thought provoking. Helps define the human spirit, both good and evil that seemingly dwells in us all. Thanks Jesse.

Read it!!!. Absolutely a great book. What a down to earth guy. Both feet on the ground telling it how it was. Felt to me like I could hear his voice while I read the words. Best autobiography I have read this year! Read it.

American Badass. I thought the book was really good iv always liked Jesse James.I am very glade he told his story I hope people don't judge him to badly every peson has a story some more sever then others. Life I's what u make it I was a little put off that Jesse dedicates book to Kat Von D (Katherin) but does not talk about her I'n book. But all I'n all it was good.

A must read for those of you that thought you had it rough. I've always been a big Jesse James fan, and have had a rough life. But after reading this book and learning more of Jesse's life and upbringing my life doesn't seem so rough. No matter what life throws at you stand tall and strong, work through it and never quit! Thanks Jesse for a look into the man you are and proving that defeats in life can be overcome.
