Only half a book!!. Very disappointed that it's not made clear that this is one the 1st part of a book. Read all the Ben Hope books but this is a real let down and I feel ripped off. It's not one of his best either. Don't buy it!

Just did keep me interested. Really enjoyed most of previous books but this one is Very poor and seems to have run out of ideas.

Disappointed!. I have loved all the Ben Hope books until this. They are usually full of mystery and intrigue, but this book is full of drawn out violence, descriptive gore and pointless detail. Skipped most of it and won't waste my money and time on part two! :( gutted.

Star of Africa. The first Scott Mariani book I am disappointed with! 2 parts.....? Also very drawn out and very brutal. Ben Hope helpless, while horrible murders are happening...... never happened before. This new book is nothing like the others. The earlier books were much better. Disappointed with this writer now.

Star of Africa. I agree with previous reviews. Story drawn Out and horrible violence throughout. 2 parts leaves the story hanging anti climax, disappointing, frustrating, and unlike previous Ben Hope stories which I thoroughly enjoyed. Would not have purchased if I'd known it was in 2 parts

Great book. Only downer was half way through the story it ended with the sequel being published in six months time!

Star of Africa. This was far too violent to be enjoyed, it didn’t give the reader any enjoyment regarding gripping action associated with any kind of believable plot. Not the Ben hope I’ve enjoyed in the previous books.

Too long. Good story but to drawn out. It's as if he ran out of ideas and just kept the theme going for as long as possible, and in two parts. So not great.

Mr,armed. A good read a bit repetitive but I like that the story is strong and the characters are good!!

Not a fan of this one. Big fan of the series but this adventure went on and on with, to me, little story line development. I found myself skimming and flicking forward. Same with part 2. When it did reach the end of the second book it seemed a big anticlimax. Hopefully next will be better.
