Great story. Another book in the Shadowlands series and we are back with Beth and Nolan and their journey to have a family. Fate has dealt Beth an ugly hand and she can not have children so they decide to adopt. Fate steps in and they get two brothers that have had a tough life and find that these two boys are just what they needed. This is light on the BDSM and is more about the family and the children but it is a really good read.

Amazing. Such a heart warming and loving story. A great continues on one of my favorite couple from the shadowlands story. A must read

Protecting His Own. This book made me go through a myriad of emotions. Beth was the sweetest caregiver of God's fortress and her work was recommended by everyone. Beth always volunteered at the shelter where she grew close to two young boys that were struggling with ...... so she gave the oldest (Grant) her phone number to call in case they ever had an emergency and needed her or Connie wanted to talk. Nolan was attached to the boys as well and let them help whenever he was around. My heart broke instantly because of the obstacles (no food, drink, clothes, toys, and the love) that the children were faced with on a daily basis. Will Nolan and Beth be able to save the boys or will the system step in and take the children?

Another hit for Cherise Sinclair. Pulled at my heartstrings, and took me on an emotional journey. Read this entire series!

Loved. Omg I couldn't put this book down. The damaged caused by a sick lover and not just physical to over come that find true love but still fight those demons together beautiful and to build a family a bonus of love all around

Protecting His Own. As always Cherise Sinclair comes through with the best stories and great BDSM scenes. She writes well developed characters that bring you back time after time. I hope she keeps writing she is truly the queen of the genre.

Fantastic Read. What can I say... I've read every book in this series and they are awesome reads. Not only the hot sexy stuff but the stories themselves. I just get lost when reading about the Masters of Shadowlands and how they love, cherish and protect their own.

Beth gets everything she ever wanted. Reading the story of Beth and Nolan finally getting everything they ever wanted warmed my heart. And made my eyes water like crazy. Thanks for going back into their story for us to enjoy.

Love visiting old friends. Beth and Nolan where two characters I loved the most; starting when Cherise originally wrote about them in Breaking Free. I was thrilled that they were getting a second story. I think out of all of the characters, Beth has stuck with me the most. She was so brave, and to now see her a few years later, living a life we weren’t sure she would ever have, is AMAZING. Yet, at the same time old scars still tend to rear their ugly head; Nolan being the perfect Dom for Beth, knows how to work things out and silence the demons in her head. Cherise writes such beautiful relationships, it’s hard not to envy these them, and wish for the closeness her couples have. Most men are completely clueless to a woman’s emotional needs, my husband included; and have to be given step by step instructions. Cherise writes the perfect mind reading Doms, if only real life was so simple. Sigh. Protecting His Own is such a beautiful story adding a wonderful conclusion to Beth and Nolan’s story. At the same time, it touches on hard issues so heartbreaking, I was in tears. It also has Cherise’s standard erotic flair, and new BDSM scene I have come to look forward to in every book. Let’s not forget the introduction of the new Masters to the Shadowlands. There was nothing about this story I didn’t love and I wouldn’t be opposed to reading more books about past characters; I love visiting old friends. It was truly perfect and I am giving it 5 Huge Boundless Stars.....Sara
