Great book, wrong narrator!. I'm reading the hard copy and listening to the audio in combination. The book itself is brilliant I'm really enjoying Derren Brown's witty and informative style and the subject matter is so thought provoking and insightful. Unfortunately, though I'm finding the narration style very distracting from the flow of the book. I'm sure Jot Davies is a great actor and narrator but his over emphasized and theatrical style feels inappropriate for this book. Perhaps my expectations are high as Derren Brown's voice is very recognizable and ideally he would be reading his own words. However, my wife has the same issue with the voice. The content of the book is very detailed and the written style is very entertaining therefore we don't feel it should be embellished with a, for want of a better word, patronizing intonation. I recommend you buy the hard copy and read it to yourself. This one does not work as an audio book I'm afraid.
