Labyrinth comes to mind. Talk about a difference in series from this author. Incredible and amazing. This is a fairy tale in a unique essence that reminds me of the film Labyrinth with David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly. The King of the Unblessed Merrick sees Lady Juliana and he wants her. He hides children to grant her the adventure she seeks. Only not everything is as it seems. Juliana grows as she learns this immortal realm of goblins, fairies and elves. Happy ending but it does segue into the next book. Lord of Bellemare Hugh broke a promise to the Fairy Queen and she is livid. Not comedic but it does have action, adventure, betrayal, conniving and mystery.

Great story. I really enjoyed this story by Michelle M. Pillow. I have been a fan of hers for years now but somehow missed this story. I was thrilled to finally be able to read it. I love reading Fae romance stories. I enjoyed the interactions between the elfin king Merrick and Lady Juliana. Merrick used to be different before his life changed and now he rules mischief. Juliana wants something more out of her life. She goes on a quest to regain the children when she is tricked by Merrick. Will they be able to work out that they could be more to each other? King of the Unblessed. Fabulous read!! Twists and turns kept me hooked. I recommend getting to know all the characters. So good!!

Oh My Fantasy. If you're looking for adventure with a side of fairies, sprites, dwarves, and a little bit of royal intrigue, then Merrick and Juliana's story is for you. There is so much that happens with them and around them that you will refuse to put this book down. Absolutely riveting and amazing fantasy. Where the wild things are. This was the most enchanting story. I loved how it was like an adult faery story. I could just picture the goblins and other creatures as they were described. They were so funny. They reminded me of the ones in the children’s book Where The Wild Things Are. The king of the Unblessed was so hot. He was so misunderstood. This is a tale of good verses evil and how true love overcomes all in the end. I hope we get a tell of Juliana’s brothers in the future. If you like audiobooks, this narrator really brings the characters to life. He does the creatures’ voices so well. And gives Merrick a deep sexy voice.

King of the Unblessed. This is a wonderful new series. It’s a fast paced and chanting story with the main characters of Julianna and Merrick. I enjoyed the story it was interesting and kept my interest from the very beginning. The storyline was wonderful and included magical/supernatural beings with drama suspense and a fascinating medieval backdrop. I really enjoyed following Merrick and Juliana’s romance and their relationship with their courtship grow with their steamy romance. I recommend this book. Interesting beginning to fantasy series. I have read quite a few Michelle M. Pillow books and I have to say that this is definitely my favorite. The way she weaves all of the elements and characters together you really can’t tell what is going to happen next. I love that this book has three fairy realms and that there isn’t just bad and good. Merrick, King of the Unblessed is the perfect King to start with as he is so stuck between good and evil. I love the way Ms. Pillow has written him and he ended up being my favorite character even though I didn’t like him for the first third of the story. There were so many side characters that were interesting not just the main ones. It definitely seems like there were a few plot twists that gave hints about the next books that I can’t wait to dive into. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Fairytale for Adults. Lady Julianna longs for adventure and dark elfin king Merrick provides her with one. He’s broodingly misunderstood and she really needs to learn from her experiences, but these follies just make for more interesting characters. The secondary characters, including Julianna’s brothers, were engaging. An exciting read.

King of Unblessed. It’s tale of fantasy with hot romance, intrigue and humours. The storyline is fabulous, great characters,they are from different worlds. They are human and magical creatures. Prince,fairy, wizards in on intriguing story that will keep you turning pages. So grab your favourite drink and enjoy reading from your favourite author. Three way battle. I love stories like this blending magic, otherworldly beings and a struggle for power. Watching the details around Merrick, Ean and Lucien’s situation evolve, you really have to appreciate the creativity of the war instigator. Julianna and her family have ties to the Fae realm making her even more of a person of interest. War, magic, scrying the truth and a heart wrenching ultimatum kept me sucked into this story. I loved how things were resolved, exposing even more about this Unblessed realm and tempting tidbits bridging to the next novel. A great start to this series!.
