Das allseits berühmte und beliebte "Bierdosen-Hähnchen" ist Kult und hat viele Namen: Beer Butt Chicken, Drunken Chicken, Beer Can Chicken oder auch schlicht Bierdosenhuhn. Dank der Flüssigkeit im Behälter bzw. der Dose wird das Geflügel sehr saftig, zart und aromatisch und erhält eine tolle knusprige Haut. Der preisgekrönte Autor und TV-Koch Steven Raichlen widmet den saftigen Geflügelköstlichkeiten ein ganzes Buch. Neben Hähnchen werden Wachteln, Rebhühner, Truthähne und Enten auf dem Grill zubereitet. Zudem experimentiert Raichlen neben Bier auch mit verschiedenen Softdrinks und Fruchtsäften und kombiniert dazu passende Rubs, Marinaden und Saucen. So entstanden ausgefallene aber leicht nachzugrillende Rezepte wie Hühnchen Aquavit, Trüffel-Hühnchen, Cola-Hühnchen, Thai-Kokoshuhn, Wachtel mit Ananassaft und Geflügelrezepte ohne Dose wie das "Gesteinigte" Huhn oder das Teuflische Huhn. Abgerundet wird das Ganze mit tollen Beilagen vom Grill. Auf die Dosen fertig los!
