When is the next one coming out???. This series has captivated me. I can’t wait for the next book. And i really don’t want to wait another year for the next one!!

It’s OK. I have read all Nora Roberts books. This trilogy is really not what you would expect from reading her other books. Took me awhile to finish because it just did not hold my attention. I enjoy suspenseful romance novels. This is more like Stephen King. Not a big fan of those kind of books. Looking forward to more of her older style of written. Hope she comes out with a better book soon.

Much better than the first book.. My rating system: 5 stars are reserved for books that totally blow me away. I don’t give too many of these out, since it is almost like giving the book a 100%. It is nearly impossible to write a truly perfect book. 4 stars for books that I would recommend to just about anyone, or, at least, to someone who doesn’t dislike the genre. 3 stars for books that I would only recommend to someone with a strong interest in the particular genre. 2 stars for books that I would be hesitant to recommend to anyone at all, but the book was not a total disaster. 1 star for books that were so terrible or ridiculous for me that I wish I had not wasted time on reading it to begin with.

Exciting and Entrancing. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. The sign of a good book is its ability to captivate the reader from start to finish; as well as, making the reader laugh and cry in segments of the book. This book did all that and more. I cannot wait for the third book (‘Rise of the Magicks’) and hope it’s an exciting and entrancing conclusion to this trilogy, as only Nora Roberts can do.

Increíble. Loved the story, I have read all of Nora’s book and although this is not her typical story style loved it. The first book took me a while to get to and once I started it finished quickly, this one I read in two days. It captivates you the way Fallon and all the characters tell the story, can’t wait until December to see the end and what happens with Fallon and Duncan! Would love it if this became a movie series 😊

A great addition to the story. It's a great add-on to the prior book. Arguably could be a stand alone read, but it's not worth skipping the first book. This series doesn't have what can be meandering depth of other fantasy series, but is itself a driving story which is enrapturing to the reader. I can't wait until the next one comes out.

A mishmash of apocalyptic genres from Walking Dead to Harry Potter. I feel as if we are running out of new ideas and stories to tell, and have detoured into derivative narratives. Particularly zombie genre tv series with the magic supplied a la Harry Potter wizardry. Vaguely disappointing.

Long winded attempt to make what should be 1 book into a trilogy. Snooze fest. So many words. So little plot advancement. About 8% of this book was a page turner.

Disappointed. The first book was great. This the second book is slow shallow and resorts to what this author writes best. These are the only books I have read by this author. I recommend this book to 13 - 15 year old girls. It is a shame to lower a great heroine to a simple teenage drama queen.

Second in Trilogy. This is Fallon’s story from child to teenage years, of her learning and developing into who she is suppose to be. Learning her powers, skills. The two year learning of magic and different cultures ( elves, shifters, magical). Book seem long and slow in places but then action picked up. Didn’t see few actions/ fights occurring, which was a surprise. But overall I enjoyed this book. Didn’t start these books until final book was released, I hate to wait for next release .
