Heroine: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hero(s):⭐️⭐️ Villain:⭐️ World Building:⭐️ Spice: 🌶🌶🌶🌶 I agree with another reviewer that the book synopsis is highly misleading. Until 2/3rds in I assumed it was a reverse harem based on the two male cover and synopsis.... FYI it’s not. Strongest element was the heroine who had a realistic desire to go home and her quick sympathy for her captors was explained via her life’s work as a counselor. World building isn’t typically a priority in Alien Romances and that’s fine, but this lacked basic descriptions about each setting and cause confusion later. Trigger warning: there are two attempted rapes on page ⬇️*SPOILERS* ⬇️ Deep problems with the conflict/villain. There’s not really a big bad so much is family drama with the brothers and their moms. This could have benefitted from some hero’s POV and some of the weird situations to show his personality could have been cut. He reads and can quote Western poetry and literature so why does he accept regular whippings from his mom? Recommend only if you’re desperate for b-list smutty alien Romance.

Chasing Charis. This was not what I expected; it’s different than what I thought based on the publisher’s description. I don’t mean that in either a good or bad way. Overall, it’s okay, not great, but not horrible. I am thankful it was free. But I am not going to read and more of the author’s books.
