Luca, 15 Jahre alt, fährt mit den Eltern nach den Sommerferien am Meer zurück
nach Rom, die Schule beginnt, aber seine Welt ist alles andere als in Ordnung:
Ein seltsamer Widerwille gegen alle Dinge beschleicht ihn, und er begibt sich
in eine innerliche Opposition zu allem, was ihn umgibt: die wohlhabenden Eltern,
deren Fürsorge er fortan zurückweist, der Unterricht, die Freunde – alles
wird ihm langweilig, alle Bindungen sind ihm lästig und zuwider. Seinen Besitz
verschenkt er an ihm vollkommen gleichgültige Personen, was ihn mit finsterer
Freude erfüllt.
Zwei Frauen befreien Luca aus seiner Todessehnsucht: Die eine, das Kindermädchen
seiner Cousinen, sorgt für sein erotisches Erwachen, die andere, eine
Krankenschwester, die ihn nach langem Fieber gesundpflegt, wird seine erste
leidenschaftliche Liebe.
Der Ungehorsam ist einer der schönsten Romane Alberto Moravias. Meisterhaft
beschreibt er in wenigen Sätzen das gutsituierte römische Milieu und die
aufgewühlte innere Welt des jungen Luca. Messerscharf beobachtet und mit
untergründigem Witz erzählt – ein Buch zum Wiederlesen!
