Good introduction. This was the first book I read of Allen Eskens. Good storyline, good characters. It was a fast paced read that keep me engaged right up to the end. I look forward to reading more by Eskens.

One of my favorites!. I haven’t taken the time to read a book in a long time. I randomly decided to read this and I’m so glad I did. I am from MN & have an autistic sibling, so from the start I felt tied to this book. It was personally really cool to know the exact places that things were taken place PLUS the author did a really nice job showing a glimpse of what autism is like. I could not stop reading. So many twists and turns that kept me interested. I also felt like I truly knew the characters. Loved it! And highly recommend.

Very Good. New author for me. I read several books/week so mysteries especially have to well written (not overly descriptive to compensate for lack of intrigue), and have believable twists & turns. This was good enough that I’m going on to the next.

The Life We Bury. This is only the third book by Allen Eskens that I have read. While the others were good, I find this story outstanding. It was well written and most importantly it leaves you feeling ecstatic at the end! You just feel good!

A real page turner.. Very well written. Just when you think you have it figured out, it takes a hard turn. I don’t write reviews but this book deserves it.

The Life We Bury. Excellent! Suspenseful right up until then end. I read the last 1/3 of the book this morning, couldn’t put it down. Kudos to this new writer. Highly recommend.

Good book!. I loved it! There were times where things were in my opinion overly explained and it became slightly annoying. However I loved the story, I loved the pace, and I loved the multiple story lines in Joe’s life which added a lot of depth!

Exciting Read. The characters just pop to life. The story draws you in until you are actually there. A thrilling exciting page turner. The best book I have read recently.

Great characters and story. Interesting read. At first a little sophomoric, but the Author works to really develop his characters and the story. I’ll read his next book as well to see where he goes with his main character.

Compelling story. This is not a genre I normally look to, but it was part of my book club. I’m very glad I read this, as it was a compelling and well written story that I enjoyed thoroughly. The only downside…it’s the first in a series and now I want to read the rest!
