Perky. Cute story but took too long getting to the point. I finally had to skim to make sure I had figured out the villain. Way too easy.

Excellent fun and great listen. Amazingly, fun read and listen, Erin Mallon does a great job with this narration. My favorite so far. One discretionary lapse, changes the lives of those closest, and mayhem ensues. Julia Kent’s signature humor, snark and laugh out loud idioms are abundant in this newest book. There is steam romance and HEA. Another top listen and read, add this to your “top read” list.

Pointless. The story has no real point. It just gets rewound each chapter. Had to skip most of it! Read the last 2 just to finish it-don’t waste your money!

Boring. I struggled to finish this book. The main character was annoying and would go off on tangents in her head- the tangents added nothing to the book and made it drag out. I felt they were just page fillers. This is was an awful book.

Good read!. So glad for Perky’s book! I enjoyed Perky & Parker & the rest of the characters that we were introduced to in Fluffy. This was a cute, sweet lovers to revenge to lovers book that I found very entertaining.

Memorable characters!. Quirky characters and snappy whip smart dialogue creates a heartfelt emotional story with plenty of heat.

Hilarious. Hilarious addition to the series! I loved Perky. The banter and the unique names had me rolling. I enjoyed watching them work through the misunderstandings of the past and find their way forward. Full of passion, comedy, love, and a bit of mystery! Looking forward to more from this series!

Perky. This was probably the worst book I’ve EVER read. The banter between characters was pathetic. Basically it was a one note song. Boring, repetitive, stuck on one theme only. Awful conversations....how many more words do I need to post this review? Ok more words need lacking in content, theme and character. Characters were shallow, unbelievable and just stupid. Have I reached my word limit yet? No? Geeze all I can say is this book was awful, I usually like Kent’s books but this one seemed as if she had a deadline she was struggling to meet and just threw an awful story together and charged us $4.99 .

Perky. Just too out there! Like the author tried too hard to have Persephone be bizarre! Couldn’t finish it!

Oh dear. I kept jumping 20 pages ahead but still this novel dragged on. It took 520 pages to cover what should have been resolved in 100.

Fun quick read. Loved this story. Light hearted. Funny. Easy to read.

An entertaining story!. 4.5 stars Perky is an entertaining read with quirky characters that make you laugh! The banter in this book was outrageous at times which made it a real fun story to read! Perky aka Persephone’s past comes back to town and needless to say she melts in his presence! You can literally feel the chemistry between her and Parker! Can he redeem himself though and what is it about small spaces for those two!! Lol im serious!! You have to read it for yourself to understand what I mean!! I especially loved Perky’s friends, they were a laugh a minute! A great story to read, it will definitely perk you right up!

Loved! Great read!. Oh, this is fun story! Years after a naked photo of her is circulated and turned into an awful meme, Perky comes face to face with the man who took the photo - her ex, who is now a Congressman. Perky and Parker have this electric chemistry whenever they're around each other. There's obviously still feelings there, but despite this, Perky is focused on getting revenge for the photo, even though Parker is adamant he didn't do it. This was a really fun read, great characters, funny moments (and some truly awkward ones)! I'm excited to read Feisty next!

Hilarious. Once again Julia Kent has delivered a read that had me in stitches, I laughed out loud or should I say snorted out loud and one bit advice I need to give you is don’t read Perky while eating or drinking because you risk covering anyone sitting close by with what’s in your mouth...... Perky follows on from Fluffy which is a series of second chance romances and I have to say so far this is one of the best series of romantic comedy’s of this year but to honest I wouldn’t expect any thing less from this very talented author. This book is an entertaining fun read read with quirky characters you can’t help loving, it’s about friendship and romance with some sizzling hot chemistry but will the chemistry be enough for Perky’s first love Parker to redeem himself when he comes back into town. Perky is a smart, funny yet dramatic woman and she is someone I’m sure we would all love to have as a friend but one thing is certain life would never be boring with her by your side and for me one of the highlights of this great read was the the friendship Mallory and Fiona shared with her, I loved the banter and every character in this book and I’m so looking forward to book 3 which I understand will be the final book in this great series.

Fantastic. Julia Kent never fails to deliver; whenever I see her name I know that I am in for a fabulous read. As with previous books I have read I was in stitches having laughed so much I cried. That’s right, not only laughing but snort laughing, totally unattractive I assure you and the looks I got from my fellow commuters just made me laugh even harder. Julia Kent is one of my go to authors in the romantic comedy genre. There is just something about her style of writing that draws me in and I devour her books. I absolutely loved the premise for Persephone’s (Perky) story. Perky was everything that I hoped it would be and so much more. Perhaps because Ms. Kent has such an ability to write about characters who are human, engaging and realistic that you cannot help but be drawn in to the story she weaves. Betrayed years before by Parker, the man she loved, Perky is determined to seek her revenge. After all he pursued her for months after she dumped him after his betrayal. I I so felt for Perky and the embarrassment and humiliation she has been made to live with over the last 5 years and I totally understand her need for revenge. Although a hilarious read it is also a story of a second chance at love, of taking a leap of faith. The secondary characters were an absolute hoot and it was great to catch up with Will and Mallory. Reconnecting at the rehearsal dinner Parker still maintains his innocence and he still has feelings for Perky. Unfortunately Perky’s head is set on revenge but her body and heart are still drawn to Parker. Which will win out head or heart? I fell hard and fast for Parker, he ticked all my boxes and was totally swoon worthy. This is a gem of a book and in my humble opinion Ms.Kent has another winner on her hands.

Perfect!. Loved reading Perky’s story! Julia Kent has a way with words and telling stories that make you feel everything! Her characters come alive and feel like your own friends where you will cheer them on and just want more and more! I’ve already pre-ordered the next book in the series! Thank you Julia for another great book! I’ve loved every single book I’ve read of yours and yes I noticed the couple of connections made in Perky to previous characters and books! Loved the Mr.Darcy mention!

Perky. After reading the first two books in this series I couldn’t wait for Perky! Julie delivers as usual. Her brand of writing books with wonderful hilarious storylines is so needed in today’s world. I start her books and can’t put them down. It’s an escape from the drudgery of everyday life into a funny, romantic and sexy world where anything is possible. I’ve read every one of her books and would recommend all of them! Do yourself a favour and start a series today. You won’t regret it. Just make sure you are with people you love because when you start laughing so hard you cry, you don’t want them thinking you’re crazy 🤪

Made me both laugh and cry simultaneously. Julia Kent is another author who has the ability to make me both laugh and cry simultaneously. My sides hurt from laughing so hard at this book, but where it had the greatest impact on me was in the bigger, deeper emotions. Perky (Persephone) and Parker’s second chance is a spinning emotional roller-coaster ride filled with everything from crack-pot harebrained ideas to uncomfortable truths. And it’s all topped off with more innuendo than you can shake a stick at. When our leading couple finally make peace with the past, you can feel the universe sigh – it’s that precious. The lead in to Feisty makes me just a little ravenous to get my hands on it. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
