A new friend helps me see that, but he also helps me see that I deserve those things that I still want. It may be too late. Lots of things I think I’ve grown too old for suddenly come to light when Dalton shows me what I think I’ve missed out on. He also shows me that I haven’t missed out, that my time is coming. He also comes to my rescue one night when both Aaron and I are helpless. Sometimes the kindness of strangers can be severely underrated.

Never met him, but he watches me when I walk her home one night. There’s something up with him, too. When I learn that our paths crossed once before, it makes Amelia see me in a whole new light. She’s almost ten years older than me, but she acts as though it’s more like a hundred. What she doesn’t realize is that she’s incredible, beautiful, intelligent as hell, and she is no more outdated than I am in so many ways. It takes a tragedy for her to see that, and it takes a miracle for her to believe it. And it takes a hard lesson from me for her to learn that everything happens for a reason, and it’s more than just Aaron that brought her to me…it’s fate.

Emotional. I was hooked by the emotions in this story. I felt like I was on a journey with these characters that was filled with sorrow yet uplifting and joyful at the same time. I loved Dalton immediately and came to love Amelia by the end of the story. A wonderfully fulfilling and enjoyable story.
Enjoyed. I enjoyed this short book that has characters that are well developed and engaged my attention with how well the storyline flowed from beginning to the end..plenty of chemistry with each turn of the pages. Wow. This story is so intense. I have cried at so many things that happen in the story. The love she feels for her husband, only to be pushed back into the background. Dealing with his paralysis, she is a lot stronger than many would be, especially with how he treats her. With dalton being a new friend, it’s good for her and helps her discover herself, but there’s feelings there she neater expected and doesn’t want to allow herself to feel. With everything that happens when she’s sick, I’m honestly surprised she pulled herself together, but again, if it wasn’t for dalton, she may not have. So Romantic. Dalton and Amelia’s story is fantastic, to be best friends first before falling in love just adds to the sweetness of their story. The developing relationship flows so beautifully, I really enjoyed this book.
Slippery when Wet.. I loved Dalton’s and Amelia’s story it was sad but I was also happy for them, I’m not going to give any spoilers so read the blurb and that will give you the gist to this story it’s an amazing one at that. I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
