Loved. I enjoyed this well developed storyline in this book. The characters are engaging and well developed and the chemistry between them was great and the storyline flowed smoothly throughout the pages. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Friends to lovers to the nth degree!. Love this trope and the angst and the steam and the grand gesture! Can’t wait to read about the rest of the Prescotts!

The title was right on the money. Stupid Love.. The story had all the points it’s suppose to to make it good. Thank you.

A healthy serving of cringe. I couldn’t get past the “oh no, I have feelings for my best friend but my parents had an awful marriage so clearly I can’t have a mature relationship” on the MMC’s part. It was non-stop. He acts like he is doomed or that it’s some impossible vicious cycle to break. She also clearly has feelings for him. Everyone sees it, but him. The dialogue and internal monologues remind me of the gummy bear commercial where it’s adults around a conference table and yet, “the red one is more gooder to me because it tastes like berries.” It’s children acting like adults. That is this story. I couldn’t get into it. Had to DNF around the time they finally hook up. Skimmed some more and called it good.

Stupid Love. Just a great read!

Is he good enough to love?. Theo, 32, is the youngest Prescott sibling and had a very dysfunctional childhood with rich parents that treated them all badly. He is now a divorce lawyer but is scared of love because he has seen what it can do to people and he feels he is undeserving of love because he is not good enough. Lauren, 29, works in a library but is an aspiring singer/songwriter and has been best friends with Theo since college. She has realized that she sees Theo as more than just a friend and he has feelings for her too but is afraid to act on those feelings. Once Theo and Lauren act on their mutual attraction will Theo’s insecurities tear them apart? I loved this story where friends become lovers but are then torn apart and I highly recommend this book. The author did a fantastic job showing how Theo was letting his past control his life now and his future. Lauren and his other friends and family were very patient dealing with him but he had to learn that he was the only one controlling his actions and his future. Delicious fun. Friends to lovers is my favorite trope, so I enjoy most books with that theme. Theo and Lauren were an engaging couple, even though both were, in fact, stupid at times! Lauren needed to stand up for herself a bit more and while we didn’t get a whole lot of background into how she’s promoted her music, I feel like she probably could have done more. Theo is a fabulous friend, but that typical dumb guy who thinks someone in his life needs to be an example of everlasting love for him to understand it. But he knows enough how to be a good lawyer who protects his clients, their kids...and occasionally the other half in the divorce? Insert eye roll. Tara Wyatt certainly hit the mail on the head with this title! Seriously though, I really did love this book and it’s cast of characters. I can’t wait to delve into Theo’s brothers’ stories...the author made them mysterious and interesting enough to make me want to come back for more. I’m also hoping for some follow up with Theo and Lauren, as well. Great characters, fun dialogue and some very steamy scenes with our main couple make this an interesting and very recommendable book.

It’s a quick read. It’s got all the things you need in a quick romance novel. Plus steam! you’ll be pleasantly surprised how it ends! Stupid Theo! And Lovely Lauren!

Is Love stupid. OMG. Theo is so utterly delicious. He’s obviously in love with his BF Lauren, whom he is convinced is too good for him. What I liked? How much Theo and Lauren respected and liked each other. They obviously have the hots for each other (both are in serious denial, especially Theo). Is Love stupid? Stupid love. Recommend.

Great Friends to Lovers Story. This is book one in the new series The Prescotts. It's a friend to lover’s romance. This series is a spin off from The Dallas Longhorns series. The final book in the Longhorn series is Aerin, Theo's older sisters’ story. This new series The Prescotts will be about her brothers. You don’t have to read the Longhorns series to enjoy this book but if you like sports romances (pro baseball) I recommend picking up the books up. They were great stories. This book was a great start to this new series and I can’t wait to read the next book, it's going to be a fun series to read. It's a steamy, entertaining, witty story. I laughed, cried, got frustrated with Theo and Lauren, it's all around a really good book. Theo is honestly the lesser messed up out of the brothers which is saying a lot because I think poor Theo has some messed up ideas thanks to his parents bad marriage and the fact that he's a divorce attorney. It's going to be interesting reading Sebastian, Max and Lucien's stories, I can't wait. Sebastian’s story is next, and I have a feeling it’s going to be a wild ride. Theo and Lauren have been friends for over 10 years. Neither of them realize that they each have feelings for the other. Theo’s parents were a very bad example of marriage and relationships and he's afraid he can't give Lauren the type of relationship she deserves and is terrified that he'll lose her for good if they try to date and he messes things up. Yep, he's sure that he will be the one to mess up. Eventually they end up in bed together after their friends set them up on a double date with other people causing Theo's jealousy to pop through. Lauren convinces Theo that they don't have to put labels on what they have. She's trying not to scare him away so she keeps it casual in hopes he'll see how good they are together. We all know this isn't going to work, right? Can these two finally admit what they have and find a way to make their relationship work? Nice story. Overcoming fears to have a relationship. Starting out as best friends is a good start to the relationship. Would be good to do a follow up on how they do together.

Stupid Love. Good story. It held my interest all the way thru.

4 stars. I really enjoyed the story of a friendship growing into a deep love. I skipped the multi-paged sex scenes, because that was a bit much for me. But, if you like that kind of thing, it’s here, too.

Better than I expected!. For one thing, it was longer than most of the free books I’ve read. It was also well written and believable!

Okay. The story was okay. I just didn’t care for the author’s style of writing and in the formatting of her sentences that just didn’t flow well for me like other romance novels do. I don’t think I’ll read from this author again.

Was this written twice? Stupid Love. I don’t know if this was written under a different title previously, or if the author plagiarized someone else’s work but I have 100% read this book before. I knew everything that happened in each chapter, but I read A LOT so I kept reading just thinking I was crazy. But, when it got to the meeting with the talent manager (over halfway through the book) I KNEW with certainty I have read this before. 1) plagiarizing isn’t cool 2) if you are going to publish it under a different name you should put that in the description. It’s a good book but not good enough to read twice.

Stupid love. A good read

Sometimes love does conquer all. This book echoes a very real life situation for many. Well written lots of romance and the inevitable heartbreak . Thoroughly enjoyed.

4 1/2 Stars for this friends-to-lovers romance!. This is a very sensual and steamy beginning to a new series! I have a feeling these Prescott brothers are going to be a handful. Theo is the youngest and a divorce attorney ... which makes him all the more cynical. Plus, his parents did a crap job of providing a good example of happily-ever-after. I just loved Lauren as she has this bright personality that never gives up. The chemistry between Theo and Lauren has always been undeniable to everyone who knows them ... but they only saw themselves as best friends. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was that I thought the ending was rushed ... there was a build-up through the whole story and then it was just resolved way too quickly. We also get a glimpse of the brothers that will have future books and I can't wait to read them! A fabulous start to a new series.

“Stupid Love” is brilliant!. Tara Wyatt’s done it again! The Prescott Bros begin with Theo & Lauren. Best friends, both secretly in love with one another, and both afraid to mess it up. You can feel Theo’s fear that his childhood has stunted him in relationships and isn’t sure the risk is worth what he has with Lauren. The author is great for including strong & sometimes wacky friends & family into her stories so well that you cannot help but hope you’ll see them in following books. Loved Theo & Lauren’s story and highly recommend it. I received a ARC copy for my honest review. Not sure if I’m more excited to read Sebastian’s or Lucian’s story more. You don’t need to read her previous series Dallas Longhorns to enjoy, but we get a glimpse of the Prescott’s in the last one.
