Poor book, poor writing set up, poor organization. As much as the scenery is interesting, I’m disappointed. I expected more from Nora.

The awakening. Absolutely awesome pulled me into the story completely from the very beginning and 4 hours later I’m thinking how am I going to wait until November for the next one

Eh. Total miss on the primary love story

Excellent read. So good, I can’t wait for book 2. I love all Nora’s books, But I have a special love for the ones set in Ireland and involve the Magics.

4stars. Loved it. I could have done with more world building, and her “powers” weren't described very well. I can tell it's her first fully-fledged fantasy book, but that being said, I loved it

The Awakening. Have now read the entire trilogy. The characters are rich, the story so engrossing! Ms Roberts has stepped into a fresh and imaginative genre with her usual skill. Must reads…

Bad match. Maybe my fault for not throughly reading the summary, but the blend of real world and fantasy land surprised me. Not my cup of tea. Absolutely hated it and stopped reading.

I'm in love!. Once again Mrs. Roberts don't Disappoint! “I'm in love with all over again” it’s been a while since I’ve read one of your magical books and the feeling I get when I starts one of your new series are you still there.

Amazing as always. Wonderfully written and beautifully set in a world so detailed you feel you’re in it.

Another favorite!. Ms. Roberts never disappoints! I try to take it slow, to savor the story, but I immediately get drawn in to the vibrancy and clarity of the Irish countryside (my heritage too), the deeply woven and somehow familiar characters that makes me want to be a part of that world. I love and crave the fantasy of this genre . The struggle between two worlds, the amazing transformation in the heroine, the love of family and friends old and new, the anticipation of the danger that is coming and the promise of what could be! November seems so far away to wait for the next installment. I may have to read it again , or a few times until then! I hope you never stop writing , Nora Roberts, what a blessing you are and the gift you have is heaven sent! Kathleen Pfanner

having to wait. it is a bit unnerving how much this book is speaking volumes, however it is sad that having to wait for the second to come out will not be until the end of the year!!

The Awakening. Another Nora Roberts book that I could not put down. I’m always so excited to hear that she released another book, then I breeze thru reading it and am so sad I have to wait for the next book to be released! My all time favorite Author who’s books never disappoint.

💖💖💖💖💖. I loved the book. As soon as I read the first page I couldn’t put it down. The images that are described are amazing. I could see myself in the book. I also love the subtle LGBTQ+ support. I can’t wait for the next book.

Slow to start but worth it in the end. I should start with I’ve read all of Nora Roberts’ book (not including the ones penned under J.D. Robb). I think my favorite series from her is the trilogy Chronicles of the One. I had high hopes for this book (Awakening) based on my love of the trilogy previously mentioned. However, in my opinion the story was a bit slow to start. Once I got halfway through the book I couldn’t put it down. I’m glad I made myself keep reading. I ended up loving the developing characters, the story, and the background setting. Nora weaves a fascinating tale. As soon as I’m done writing this I’m buying the next book to read!

The Awakening. Love this book!

Powerful. Honestly, this book helped instill a lot of confidence in me. Just reading as Breen goes on this journey of self discovery and loving herself fully and sticking up for herself really helped me love myself more and work on my confidence and for that i thank Nora Roberts! It’s a really good book to reread whenever I need a little pick me up.

Another great Nora Robert’s book series.. I was caught from the first page. I read it when it first came out and just read it again, because I’d forgotten most of it. It kept me as enticed as it did the first time. I guess it’s the characters and the feeling as if I’m in the world with them. Can’t wait for the next two books!

Good for an easy read. Starts off slow but once it picks up it’s a fun read!

Wow. I’m not usually one for fantasy, but I can’t wait for this to continue. The characters are so rich and deeply developed, one can’t help but feel their pain. I cried for Breen for being torn between two worlds she loved equally. I read the next 2 books from the library and this series is just the best. I laughed, cried, rejoiced. Hated to see it end

Love it except -. Wonderful work! However, as a mom, a grandmother and great grandmother I must stick up for Breen’s mom! Moms make mistakes and she made them! But moms protect their children and Breen needs to understand that! Her mom loves her and I hope that gets settles in the upcoming stories. Fear for your child motivates a mom to do whatever it takes to keep a child safe! This is a great story with characters that become your friends!

Political and Weird Punctuation. Never seen an author use so many hyphens for pauses. Really annoying and confusing. Also, a little too political for my preferences. Main character lives in “the gayborhood” and her mom forced her to be a teacher and live in poverty…in the gayborhood with her gay roommate. Not a fan of a female main character who is weak and plays the victim. Just not my cup of tea!

Two Moons. We love and we pine for what might have been. Jennifer is a cold and distant mother so Breen and Marco have made themselves, along with and Sally and Derrick, a family of choice! Only after a trip to Ireland does she find the family of her father. A mystical family in a mystical world. I am thankful that it is the first of the series because I would have been really upset if this was the end of the story. Read and enjoy this wonderful and magical story by Nora Roberts. Then read the rest of the series and be amazed by the majick that she has woven.

Awakening.. This is a good book, but you don’t realize that till you’re about 200 pages in. It’s a really slow start and can be quite irritating. But it did end up being worth the wait. I am definitely going to read the next installment. I hope you enjoy the book as well.

Excellent. Apple book thing made me do a review to read this book. I haven’t read it yet. But.. If it’s anywhere near as epic as the last few series’s. It’s gonna be awesome.

I was entertained, but.... While I found that I did care about the main character and was generally entertained, I didn’t really feel like anything happened in this book. I found that the main character doesn’t make a lot of choices in regards to her duty in Talamh but spends the majority of her time training and learning magic. Which is great, but there’s no final face off with the antagonist, or any real conflict in most scenes for that matter. I enjoyed her growth, but none of it seems to derive from her time in the magical world. She seems to boost her own confidence just fine by trying to discover who she is in her career rather than accepting her duty in another world.

Excellent. A must read!
