Miles & Nessa. “On My Own” follows Nessa, our sweet friend who thought she was in love with Tanner in “My Rebound” & quite, nerdy, (but bulky) friend Miles. One drunken night, Nessa kissed Miles and neither wants to ruin their friendship by bringing it up. This is a will they or won’t they story for the first part of their story. Nessa tries to get over her hurt feelings from Tanner by dating other people and she’s trying to undo/rectify the awkwardness in their friendship circle she created by thinking she was in love with Tanner. Miles is trying to be a good friend and support her until she is ready to move on. He has his own feelings & emotions of the past he is dealing with that makes him feel like He isn’t a good enough to be more than friends with Nessa. This story has a lot of angsty push and pull throughout the book. Overall, good story, but I would have liked a little more sizzle with these two. As a nerdy type person, I am super happy for there to be a character like this in the CA world! 4.5/5 stars

Must Read!!!. This was a story that needed to be told. Nessa felt so much embarrassment about Pacey and Miles has just watched her from afar. When Nessa decided that she wants to date outside their group it leads to unimaginable consequences and Miles is there for support and backup. Nessa has trouble letting friends in and that included Miles. Once they got out of their own way they realized they were perfect for each other and were stronger together than apart. This was a great story with 2 people that were stronger than they gave themselves credit for.

Love Miles and Nessa!. The next story in On My Own series gives us Miles and Nessa story. Friends to lovers is my go to read and their journey was sweet, emotional and steamy. She was always in his sight but as a friend and nothing more, when she needs help he steps up. And what happens next makes for a swoon worthy, heartfelt romance read. I enjoyed their story of finding their HEA with all the drama and feels that kept me flipping the pages until the end. I love this series and can’t wait for more!

Enjoyed. This is the third book in the On My Own series, and it’s Miles & Nessa’s story. They’ve been friends for awhile, but for Miles it’s been more. There have been moments, but it didn’t turn into much. Until it did. I enjoyed their story, and this series, and I can’t wait for the next one

Sweeet and charming!. My Next Play by Carrie Ann Ryan was a sweet, charming, and emotional friends to lovers story. Miles has always noticed Nessa, but she never really saw him, until now. When she needs help, he is there for her. They each had issues they were working through separately that affected who they are. As friends, they learn to lean on each other and soon become more. Could they find what they were always looking for? I am loving this series! This was a great read! Happy reading!

Love love love this Book !. Nessa thought she loved her best friend only to see that he really loved their friend ! Miles is the geeky math nerd who is mysterious and gorgeous with lots of demons to work though. One night and a few drinks at a part and everything changes for both of them !!!! Can they both move past there own issues to find a love together……

Friends to Lovers Romance. My Next Play is the third instalment in this wonderful series. This book is a friends to lovers romance that finally tells us more about the quiet and unassuming Miles, and his unrequited feelings for Nessa. Nessa is still suffering from a broken heart and a touch of embarrassment after her own unrequited love situation and so has sworn off relationships. Both are struggling with issues around trust, mainly trusting themselves and therefore are reluctant in taking that jump from friendship to more. There is plenty of drama to keep you on the edge of your seat as their story is emotional and heartfelt. These friends need to find their way through their own confusion and fear, as well as the drama that unfolds around them, but is this rollercoaster of emotion finally the adventure and journey them need to take to reach the love they deserve. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Cannot wait for next in series. Book 3 in On My Own series by Carrie Ann Ryan narrated by Stephen Dexter and Emma Wilder. This book is about Nessa and miles both original characters and all the other books in the series and it carries on from the previous book. So in the previous book Nessa eventually tells Pacey that She loves him but thankfully it does work itself out a little bit and Nessa Realises that it she’s not in love with him but the idea of it and family in this book seems to get over it very quickly and starts a very slow burning relationship with miles. Really love how everything built them between them especially with the fact that Miles clearly had a thing for Nessa in the previous book especially when he was about to beat up Pacey for his part in breaking heart. Also with Carrie Ann Ryan but she always have a element of torture a little bit and some miles his was quite distinctive but I did feel that it was overdone maybe a little bit yes what happened to him was awful and he could say that he might of had a play part to play in it personally I think maybes whole family need to go to therapy instead of just blaming Miles so this did get a little bit old for me especially as it was re-done over and over and over again Through the story eventually thankfully did come to a conclusion at the end of the book and hopefully we can move on from his torture or his faults as he felt he had. This is the first time I’ve listened to Stephen Dexter as a narrator didn’t like him and he did try and pull off a British accent but not very well personally mostly to do with the fact that if the original Pacey in the books was narrated by Shane East who is a fantastic British narrator very drool worthy. Emma Wilder is actually one of my favourite female narrators and to be honest could probably pulled this book off on the road was nice to have a mail in there I just wish that they would do it as a dual narration I think it’s called when one reads guys I’m en route to females but I quite like that but to be honest Emma Wilder is absolutely amazing as the narrator. Absolutely loved the epilogue Cannot wait for the next book in the series absolutely love Carrie Ann Ryan I love that she writes a lot of genres just finished her new witch series and it is amazing.

A good read. Miles has had feelings for Nessa for a long time but she has never seen him in this way. This friends to lovers story was a good addition to the series and had me invested from the first chapter. I was drawn into the story that Ms. Ryan wove about Miles and Nessa. When Nessa is devastated that the man she has fallen for has fallen for her friend, Miles believes that the time is right for her to finally see the real him. My Next Play was well written with characters who are easy to relate too. As Miles lends Nessa a shoulder to cry on, they will cross the line. The question is will it ruin their friendship or be the start of an amazing journey. You’ll have to one click to find out.

Miles and Nessa. This is the third book in this series and this time we see Miles and Nessa fall for each other. Miles is haunted by his past but with Nessa he is happier. Nessa has a lot of hidden depth that is slowly revealed throughout the story. There is of course a lot of steam, a threat and danger they need to overcome and a HEA. These great characters are friends who become lovers and as is always the case with Carrie Ann Ryan's book you can't help but love them.

My Next Play is addictive and enthralling. Will they? Won’t they? Can they? Should they? Miles and Nessa’s story is addictive and enthralling. They have real world issues to deal with, and are presented with seemingly unsurmountable obstacles. It is a story of friendship and loyalty, and that you just can’t judge a book by its cover (or a man by his manners). My Next Play by Carrie Ann Ryan (On My Own #3)... 3 Maple Leafs “I want to be by your side as we figure out the mess that is our lives.” Miles has always been know as the quiet and nerdy roommate. After a car accident took his sister's life, he has buried himself in school work. Miles has crushed on Nessa all through college but never thought he was good enough for her. Nessa is finally starting to get back to normal after her best friend she was crushing on fell for her other friend. She finds herself crushing on Miles, one of the other roommates, but keeps telling herself she can not fall for another roommate. After Nessa goes on a couple of dates that don't go well but the guy does not get the message and tries to hurt her, Miles knows he just can not stand in the background anymore. Miles and Nessa start spending more time together studying which eventually leads to more but someone else has plans to keep them apart. I hate writing reviews like this but I struggled with this book right from the beginning. Between all of the insecurities and the constant woe is me feeling from both Miles and Nessa, I was surprised I actually finished the book. I did feel sorry for Miles and what he went through just before college. Once Miles and Nessa finally came together, their chemistry was off the charts. It’s Always the Quiet Ones!!!. Miles blew me away!! I did not see him coming and I am so in love. He is totally the good guy with a delicious edge. Nesse’s life is complicated and stressful but the girl is resilient, never giving up on her dreams. Their journey is bumpy but so worth it on the end. Definitely my favorite so far……
