Excellent book!. I really enjoy this author’s work, who was recommended by another author that I like very much. I’ve started reading the “Dying for a Living” and “Shadows in the Water” series by the same author and think this one is even better (though they are all good). Each series is unique and the plots are more imaginative than any other books I have ever read. So good that I think they will would all make excellent cinema movies as well. I highly recommend this and the other mentioned series written by Kory Shrum.

Couldn’t put it down!. I literally could not put this book down. I was so fascinated with the completely believable and imaginative world that Kory M. Shrum had built that I read the book in one sitting. Her characters are always intriguing and have a depth to them that makes you feel as if you have known them all of your life and this book does not disappoint!

Wow!. Not what I was expecting but such a great beginning to what I hope will be an engaging series. Such a believable future world with characters one wants to know more about.

Kory goes mainstream sci-fi.. I original read this book and reviewed it before reading Kory’s other series. I now have a slightly different view of it and such thought I was not doing it justice in my first review. This series moves away from Kory’s normal supernatural themes and into a more ‘traditional’ sci-fi setting. Kory, however, maintains her creativity. She again produces some interesting and likeable characters which makes for easy reading. If you like Kory’s books you will also like this. If you haven’t read any of Kory’s other books (which I highly recommend) it doesn’t matter. This is a good stand alone series which will hold your interest. By way of recommendation I have also read the second book and preordered the third.

Amazingly captivating as always. Wow another great story by Kory I found this one hard to actually put down only doing so when my eyes gave up and iPad fell out my hands you can relate to the characters and even though it’s set in the future you can feel what it would be like and imagine yourself living t these times. Onto book 2 now for me thank you Kory for another great series.
