Victoria and Owen are bitter rivals.
Nora and Luke are friends online.
Who would believe these two couples have anything in common?

Of all the decisions brilliant lawyer Victoria Clemenceaux has made in her life, an unforgettable one-night stand with her opposing counsel Owen Pohl is either the worst...or the best.

One thing is certain: these long-standing rivals aren't going to let their searing attraction stop them from winning the biggest case of their careers. Thankfully Victoria and Owen have someone to vent to about their nemeses. But they have no idea that their online 'friends', Nora and Luke, are the very people they hate in real life.

As Nora and Luke grow closer online, and Victoria and Owen find their undeniable attraction harder to resist, the lines between love and hate blur. When the truth comes out, will their online chemistry work in the real world, or will their constant rivalry sever their connection?

Again With The “White” references. I just wrote a review of The Player Next Door blasting the author for the use of “white dudes, white cis men, white guys, white girls, white Americana, and young white men. I asked why in today’s society would she make such a reference? She’s white as well as the main characters. So again why? I see no reason for it whatsoever! This book as 14 references as follows: Pg. 72 White supremacists; Pg. 90 White dude; Pg. 106 White woman; Pg. 316 White male; Pg. 347 White privilege; Pg. 480 White people; Pg. 481 Rich & white; Pg. 484 Old white men; Pg. 500 Rich white men; Pg. 524 Born white; Pg. 531 White privilege; Pg. 631 White dudes; Pg. 653 White men; and Pg. 658 White people. Aren’t we all just “people?” No matter what race we are, aren’t we all God’s children? I will never read another one of her books.

Cringy at parts but mostly good. The romance is great and I was initially excited about this book being more progressive, but it’s kind of cringy. The moments where they address progressive issues are very stereotypical. It doesn’t occur naturally and it kind of gives surface level social media activism vibes. It’s definitely something that isn’t really part of the plot but is more of something that’s just there. I’m also not a huge fan of Victoria.
