Well-written, exciting, action-packed thriller. There was a lot of action and some really vile bad guys to loathe. John Tyler gets justice for the victim even if he has to take matters into his own hands to do it. In between the tense plotting and fighting are some rather humorous scenes that give us more information about his family members and his relationship with them. He is a solid father who is there for his daughter Lexi when she needs him but doesn’t try to run her life. I think my favourite character is his father Zeke, an ex-Navy officer whose idea of bonding with his granddaughter was to take her to a shooting range for practice! A secondary plot involved Lexi’s incarcerated mother and criminal uncle. Lexi is definitely her father’s daughter and she did an admirable job figuring out what their latest scheme was about. I really enjoyed seeing a couple of characters from the C.T. Ferguson series helping out. I’m looking forward to the next book to find out if there is going to be any retaliation by what is left of the cartel in Mexico. Highly recommended.

Another great read by Tom Fowler!. I ate up the CT Ferguson series, and now I’m in the process of doing the same with the John Tyler thriller series. These books grab you and keep you engaged. I enjoyed encountering CT Ferguson in this book as well! Keep them coming, Tom Fowler!
