When Suri became a servant in King Asha's court, he never expected the handsome king to take any interest in him. In the castle, servants are a dime a dozen, and the king has more urgent matters on his hands—especially following the elven Emperor's recent decree that royals get mated and produce babies quick or else—such as finding a fertile, compatible mate among his elite High Elves. Suri is Low Elf, for starters, and an illegal arrival to the castle, to boot.
So he is more than a little surprised when King Asha keeps sending for him and spending the night with him. Surely there is no happy ending to such an affair, even if the way his belly is swelling is quite suspicious…
King Asha has his hands full. Monsters are spilling from the Breach in the mountains, threatening his kingdom, his people, and as if that wasn't enough, he is supposed to find a mate and have babies, quick, because the Emperor said so. Isn't a king supposed to put his people first, have certain priorities?
Then again, he wasn't thinking of his priorities when he took a cute little servant to his bed, was he? A Low Elf, no chances of making babies, purely for the pleasure of it. Seeing Suri, hearing him, touching him is pure pleasure. He'd rather spend his life with Suri rather than with any arrogant High Elf, babies or not.
But maybe he was good in a past life, because it looks like he may get his wish after all and have a family with Suri…
