My brain hurt reading this rubbish. I’m not even sure what the heck this was. It was repetitive and the writing was horrendous. I’ve read better stories from 5th graders. I couldn’t even finish it. Don’t waste your time please.

Taking a chance. I’m already loving this new series and the Wilder brothers. Eli is so serious and puts the well being of his brothers on his shoulders. I loved that he let some of it go and allowed himself to find happiness and love with Alexis. I liked Alexis but she was sometimes annoying with the constant self doubt. The story had an interesting plot with interesting characters. Overall the story was entertaining. Until next time y’all happy reading.

New series!. A new series, and it’s the Wilder world. 6 big, burly, ex-military brothers, who happen to be brothers of Eliza (married to Beckett Montgomery). They decide to buy a resort and winery together, which will also have weddings on the premise. Enter Alexis, who already had a “connection” with Eli, the oldest brother, one night 2 years ago when they danced at a wedding together. That spark is still there, no matter how hard they try to fight it. But you’ll soon find while reading this it’s very hard to resist a Wilder Man. I’m very much looking forward to each brothers book!

Emotional start to a new family series. Eli Wilder and Alexis Lane meet at a wedding and share a dance. When they meet again, the sparks are as bright as ever. But naturally nothing is particularly easy…except for how they feel about each other. Carrie Ann Ryan kicks off her Wilder Brothers series with this emotional story that intertwines not just Eli and Alexis’s lives but their families and friends and the growing success of the Wilder Resort. Pasts and presents collide as they juggle their responsibilities and feelings, their feelings and to-do lists. Ms Ryan writes plenty of heart and heat, as always. Can’t wait for more in the series!

Off to a fantastic start!. I love series romance, but I especially love reading about families. I knew from page one of the prequel A Night For Us that Eli and Alexis were going to be the perfect couple to kick off the Wilder Brothers series…and I was not wrong! Eli is my favorite kind of hero; gruff on the outside but a total squishy marshmallow on the inside. He brought his former military brothers together to create a business they can do as a family, with each focusing on a different area that showcases their strengths. As the oldest, he’s the CEO. And what they need now is an on-site wedding planner. But guess who shows up for the job. Alexis, the woman he meets once and dances with, at a wedding. The sparks were definitely flying that night, but nothing comes of it when she gets publicly engaged to another man at that dance. Now she’s here, looking for a new start and she wants this job. She may also want this man, but after all she’s been through, she more than gun shy. They are just so right for each other. Not sure if it’s my reactions to recent reads or if it’s the way my picks are written, but I’ve had a much harder time warming up to the heroine than the hero. Not so with Alexis. While she’s much more cautious than the all-in Eli, I couldn’t help but feel for this woman. Eli was easy to love, because first and foremost, he’s a caretaker. There’s nothing sexier than I guy who want to do the best for those around him, especially when he’s doing it for the right reasons. While he might have alpha written into his DNA, there’s no alpha-hole tendencies in this man. We get all sorts of glimpses into the rest of the Wilder men, and some of the women who the probably will…and definitely have been…be linked with. Carrie Ann Ryan is creating yet another family of characters who will entertain readers with each and every story that she writes. I wish I could give this new beginning more than 5 stars!

Great start to a new series…. I just love when a big tough ex soldier finds his HEA, even if it takes a while. When Eli and Alexis meet they have an instant connection, but unlike the usual tale their timing is all wrong and they have to wait. This character driven falling in love story bombards you with feels. Eli as the oldest sibling is a protective alpha towards all those he cares for. Alexis is smart, independent, and used to standing on her own two feet, especially after her past struggles. Lots of angst in this story and outside interference but this sweet sexy read about everyday people making a new life will bring a smile to your heart.

Great first book in this series!. This is the first book in the Wilder Brothers series and it features Eli and Alexis. They had one sizzling hot dance, at a wedding, a couple years ago. When it was over, she turned around and what he saw waiting for her made him walk away. Now, he’s getting ready to interview her for the wedding planner position at Wilder Retreat. Neither of them has forgotten that dance nor the chemistry they had that made it so memorable. A NIGHT FOR US is the prequel to this book and it explains exactly what happened at that wedding a couple years ago. This is a fantastic first book in this series! Six brothers get out of the military and buy a retreat/winery in Texas. This series is comprised of each of their stories and their struggles to make their retreat a lucrative investment for them all. The characters are absolutely amazing, as this author is known to write. The Wilder brothers also have a sister, Eliza, that is married to Beckett Montgomery and their story can be read in INKED OBSESSION. Fantastic read! I can’t wait for the next one!

Too many turnoffs. When you are born and raised in the military and spent most of your life on base and around officers, the weird portrayal and “I was enlisted” or “I was an officer and knew better” mentality gets cringey. Additionally this book has too much cringe inner dialogue and actual dialogue. The FMC is 38 and has the inner dialogue of a young man. An event pops up and he has to go “I needed to be the professional man, and not the man who took her on a date” or something similar during a time when any normal person would deal with a situation and move on. FMC got married at 28/29 and is divorced at 30. The ex takes her for everything. So now, it’s a bunch of repeat “I can’t fall in love, we’ll break up and he’ll do XYZ and it will be all my fault.” She plays the victim on a “it’s all my fault” front for every little thing. It got old, fast. Toss in the easy fix of security or some cameras, and half the issues they face would be solved. The immature guys doing daddy’s attempted intimidation work are ridiculous. Put up a gate or get security and keep them out. And all the blue collar, hick, no good, you’re just dumb military failure comments thrown at them? Seriously? It seems like so many authors now write from the perspective of an 18 year old trying to sound older.

Ryan, you’re my best friend. Story about back home he does scary when the Balconi name is Ryan want to go to here and open the back of the store in the game and then MC bum bum bum over there when is when Ryan’s wife can clean why don’t didn’t want to go or did you never seen him again and now when she saw a Monster of divorce she saw something and she didn’t know why so too yeah my best friend and then the door ate her. She died the end of the game now you won’t let me kill you.

Another Winner from Carrie Ann Ryan!. Great chemistry between Alexis and Eli, the couple that met years ago. He saw the proposal- now she’s divorced and looking for a job. Second chances are hot in this book! Eli and Alexis work together to get weddings and events booked at his ranch. Mix it with his brothers, ex sister in law, a crazy ex husband and there are literal sparks! Don’t miss reading this book!!

The Way Back to Me. Great read !

4 stars. I enjoyed the direct manner of the major characters, as well as their banter. This was entertaining, as a romance. And there is some comedy. There’s an emphasis on the warmth and security of family, while acknowledging the frictions which often exist in those relationships.

A swoon worthy must read.. The highly anticipated contemporary romance series starts off with a bang! We got a tease from A Night for Us, but this is Eli and Alexis full story and it was worth the wait! They had an instant connection from the first meeting and when they finally get a second chance it was so swoon worthy. I loved that we not only get one Wilder brother, we get to know more of the other hot brothers and they are all so complex. I can’t wait for Evan and Kendall’s story.

So much chemistry. I love the Wilder Brothers! Eli and Alexis were so meant to be together!! They soften each other yet at the same time bring out the best of each other. Eli has his brother for support and he feels responsible for their success. Alexis is working on starting over from a deep betrayal and has found a great fit and new girl friends. This was a great beginning to meeting and loving the Wilders!!! Can’t wait for the next chapter in the Wilder brothers story!

Foul language. Lots of gratuitous graphic details & foul language. None of this added to the story. Also as a Texan and a military brat, the assumptions made were way off.

An enjoyable start to the new Wilder series!. Eli and Alexis’s story is complicated. In A Night for Us, prequel to One Way Back to Me, we see the spark between Eli and Alexis as they meet at a wedding (where she’s the wedding planner) however, Alexis’s boyfriend publicly pops the question and, well, that’s that for Eli. Or is it? Fast forward a few years and Eli, along with his brothers who have established Wilder Resort, is looking for a wedding planner to fill the position recently vacated. And who applies? Alexis. Both Eli and Alexis have had some bumps in the road along the way. It has taken tremendous effort on all of the brothers’ part to get the resort, which includes a winery, running the way they envisioned it. Alexis has wounds from a failed marriage and fallout around that. Alexis needs this job as much as the Wilders need her wedding planner skills. But is the spark still there between Eli and Alexis? Are they both in a place where they want to act on it? There’s some definite angst but also such sweet times. And getting to know most of the brothers a little better, plus the other supporting characters, adds to the fun! An enjoyable start to the new Wilder series!

Giddy Up Eli!. Readers, enter tall, dark, handsome, and cowboy boots and we have a delicious Eli Wilder. Yes that Eli Wilder who is a 20 year veteran, but now a cowboy on a villa style ranch, and our lovely Eliza’s oldest brother. The Wilder ranch has had most for their staff leave so maybe they can help each other. Except Eli & Paige aren’t just meeting for the first time…oh no no no-they’ve met before and shared a VERY nice dance together. Like the Wilder boys, wedding planner Paige is at the end of her rope and in a quite the pickle. I like that sometimes, a girl just needs to rescue herself…but when the going gets tough, who better to lend a helpful rescuers hand to the damsel than a hero in the cowboy combat boots?

Loved this book !. This is the perfect start to a new service the wilder brothers. Eli and Alexis The chemistry between these two was off the charts from the very beginning now years later that chemistry it’s still as strong as ever. Eli and his brothers run resort and Alexis is a wedding planner that Eli find himself in need of. They fight the pull between them for as long as they can Is it finally time for Eli and Alexis to have their moment? I loved this book and I can not wait for the next one!

Amazing first book in the series. New series by Carrie Ann Ryan The Wilder Brothers Series. Eli and all his brothers have worked in the military of some form or another of all risked their lives and come out of it but there lost and not sure what to do with themselves. Eli has an idea that he’s going to buy a ranch winery and turn it into a holiday wedding venue with all his brothers. So the prologue in book 0.5 is where you meet Eli and Alexis at a wedding that she’s organised they have a moment and that’s when he finds out that her boyfriend is there any proposes to her but the story really start in this book when Alexis take a job at the Wilder Ranch and a wedding coordinator. This book actually is Eli and Alexis story and how they meet and get together properly. I absolutely love this book I love the way it flows, I absolutely love that all the brothers are living together on the ranch and each have their own part to play it just flows really well and I’m from a big family so I really enjoy that kind of feel to a book. Really enjoyed everything about it and can’t wait for more especially as the narrators did a beautiful job making this book shine as always Carrie Ann Ryan always picks the best narrators.

The Wilder Brother are here!!. The Wilder Brothers finally have their own series, after meeting them in the Montgomery series (INKED OBSESSION) and all are former military. The series starts with the oldest, Eli, who is taking the lead with his brothers as they figure out their retirement working and living together at Wilder Resort and Winery. We met Alexis in the prequel novella (not required reading, but a great introduction), and things aren’t going so well for her wedding planning business after her divorce. She is hopeful for the job opening at Wilder Resort, but remembers Eli and hopes that won’t be a distraction. Eli knows she is a fantastic wedding planner and exactly what Wilder resort needs but he is worried about the temptation. There is plenty of chemistry, as Alexis settles in at the resort, and these two fight their feelings. This was a great beginning to this new series. All the brothers are introduced, as well as a few hints on the romance still to come in this series (the set up of Evan and Kendall in ALWAYS THE ONE FOR ME has me eagerly anticipating their story!). I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

One way back to me. Enjoyed reading this book! I never feel comfortable dissecting a book. Suffice to say if it can hold my interest it’s worth reading.

Eil and Alexis. The Wilder brothers are starting over after leaving the military and their choice of running a resort and winery may seem a bit odd but it does allow each of them to work with their strengths while they work as a team. Watching Eli fall in love with Alexis, the wedding planner, is really sweet. They both try their hardest to ignore their growing attraction but the heart wants what the heart wants. Throw in an ex who doesn't know how to let go and trouble brews. The Wilder brothers is going to be a great series I can't wait to see each brother loose his heart.

A fun casual read. One Way Back to Me sets the scene for the new Wilder series. Each of the Wilder brothers have a lot of personal issues to work through, and it is Eli’s turn in this story. Our main characters, Eli and Alexis, have a lot of self-doubt, which slows down the story line a fair bit, but they work towards finding the right ending for them. The seeds of the stories for the other brothers are visible, and are sure to also be steamy and dramatic reads. Full disclosure: I was given an ARC of the book, however this review is my own honest opinion.

Everything and More!. After the sneak peak of the Wilder Brothers series in ‘A Night For Us’, I was very excited to read the rest of Eli and Alexis’ story. Well I am happy to report I was NOT disappointed! One Way Back To Me was everything I thought it would be and more! Sizzling chemistry, family drama, smarmy exs and … did I say sizzling chemistry? These two are so hot it almost sets the pages on fire! That’s what you get when tall dark and yummy meets instant attraction. Can’t wait for the rest of the boys to come out and play! Hubba hubba!

I have been waiting for more Eli and it was worth the wait.. One destined night in the past, Eli and Alexis met and forged an inexplicable connection. But the timing was off. Fate has brought them back together and despite their best intentions to fight the connection, their chemistry is too raw and powerful to deny. So good. Carrie Ann Ryan created a whole new world for us to explore in Texas and I love it. We also got a much better introduction to the remaining Wilder brothers, leaving me craving to get more.

I fell in love with Eli and his brothers right from the beginning. I loved how Eli and Alexis were so awkward when they were around each other while trying to fight their feelings. Alexis was a little too whiny for me and she kept blaming everything on the same issue and seemed like she would never move forward. I enjoyed this book and I can not wait for the other brothers to get their happily ever afters. Jacob Morgan and Emma Wilder were wonderful as always bringing life to all the characters and the story as a whole.
