Sweet, Emotional & Steamy!. Scoring Big (Bears Hockey ll #3) by Kelly Jamieson. I love hockey romance and was excited to get to read another story in this series. As always I was pulled into this entertaining, sweet, heartwarming and sensual romance that at the center of it is all is about being vulnerable, dealing with anxiety, as well as fears, toxic masculinity, as well as several more issues that are not typically dealt with in sports romance. Leading into interesting in-depth dialogue and discussions between the main characters as well as his teammates. Bringing so much information about these issues to light and educating this reader in the process. This author brought it, capturing my interest and attention until the end. “Life’s an adventure - take the risk.” This is Nate Karmeinski and Carly Corrigan story. Their story is entertaining, fun, flirty, sensuous as well as emotional and heartwarming. I fell hard and fast for Nate and Carly’s relationship, and adored Nate’s daughter Quinn. Their story will have you going through every emotion as you watch and hope that these two get their HEA! I received an early copy and this is my honest review.

Loved it. I received a complimentary early release e-book prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review. This was a wonderful sports romance with a male lead, Nate who is a wonderful hockey playing single dad to his daughter Quinn. He and Quinn meet Carly at the park a few times and they form a friendship and date. They both really like each other. But Carly is at a crossroads in her life. She is living on her friends couch and has no job and profession. She loves kids but also connects a bit too easily and so her former job, a nanny, was something that was painful for her. She is trying to find a boring job but it's a struggle. Nate is struggling as well. He loves hockey and his friends on the team. He has an awesome daughter and a good relationship with his ex, but he needs surgery, and he needs help with his daughter while he recovers. Can he convince Carly to be help him out? Can they date and make it work while he recovers? And can Carly find a job? This is a story about meeting the right guy at the wrong time and having to figure out what you want to do with your life. What is important and how to make it all work. It's a story about two people who find each other at a point in time that things are a bit messy, and they have to figure out how to make it work.

Loved it!. This was an easy read with realistic characters. I liked Carly’s take on men with their strengths and insecurities without making anyone defensive but with understanding and acceptance. The same way that she dealt with Quinn (who was a hoot). But, as with any couple, communication can still be a hindrance and assumptions are made. Even though Nate had some insecurities of his own, I liked that he was willing to listen and tried to change his way of automatically thinking the worst. Carly, also, had to come to her realizations on how she dealt with heartbreak and disappointment. The only bad thing about this book was that it ended too soon! Can’t wait to read more of the New York Bears.

All the feels. Kelly Jamieson has once again given us a captivating story that pulled at our heartstrings. This is Nate and Carly’s emotional and entertaining journey and all I’m going to say is this book has it all, I went through every emotion as I joined this couple on their journey. Nate needs to have knee surgery durning the off season and that means he need help looking after his daughter Quinn who he has living with him durning the summer. After falling at Carly’s feet in the park he learns she is looking for a job and has been a nanny before, add in the fact she seems to have it hit off with Quinn means she would be perfect for the job. Problem is he finds his new nanny extremely attractive and she feels the same way so will this couple mix business and pleasure, will they cross the line and risk it all….one click to find out. I loved everything about this book, I fell hard and fast for Nate and Carly, I adored Quinn who had some perfect one liners only a child could get away with but what took this book to another level was the vulnerability Nate and a teammate showed when they opened up to the issues they live with everyday. A wonderful addition to the Bears Hockey II Series and I can’t wait to see what’s coming next now the new owners have taken over. I smiled, I shed a tear but I was left smiling and that’s makes this read a win win for me,

A great read. It was good to be back in the Bear Hockey II universe. Scoring Big was well written with characters whose story hooked me from the first chapter. The fact that our hero Nate is a hockey player and single dad to his daughter Quinn was a win/win for me. I also really liked out of work nanny Carly and their meet cute was entertaining. I really liked both Nate and Carly but as a couple they were dynamic. Sometimes fate works in mysterious ways and when their paths cross it seems that Carly has been put front and centre for a reason. The attraction sizzles between them but when Nate has to have the surgery he has put off, he asks Carly if she would look after Quinn and be her nanny. How can Carly turn down a job she has been desperately looking for? What will happen when the chemistry that sizzles between them explodes and lines are crossed? I really liked both Nate and Carly but as a couple they were dynamic. The relationship that Carly forges with Quinn was beautiful and it was amusing to read as Quinn almost stole the book away from our couple on a number of occasions.
