Unexpected resolution. When I read this book I was thinking it would be just like any other book, like, having the same beginning, middle, and end. However, this book amazed to me. I was surprised and glad to be wrong about my assumptions. I cried and laughed while reading it and it was very pleasant. I will definitely recommend this read/ book to readers that want to understand how victims of mental and physical abuse behave and what the actual origin of ones actions is caused by.

Amazing. I loved this book. It shows that although a relationship may start out great and seem amazing, that can quickly change and become abusive and that you shouldn't let it happen to you, you don't deserve it. Get help!

Amazing!!!. This is the best book I've read in a long time. After reading The Twilight saga, I was convinced I couldn't find a book that would be able to top them. But this book DEFFINATELY did! I was looking for a summer reading book and just came across this one and I'm so glad that i did! I suggest this book to every girl I know, and I think every high school girl NEEDS to read this book! Make sure you read it, I promise you won't regret it!

BEST TEEN BOOK EVER!!!!!. When I saw this book, I wasn't so sure if I should get it, but I got anyway. When I read it, it took up most of the time in my day. I couldn't put it down! I feel like most girls could relate to the main character, Caitlyn. If you haven't read Dreamland yet, you better run to the closest library because your missing out!

Amazing.. Not the most challenging read, but this book has some of the best characters I've ever met. Realistic yet charming -- Dessen never disappoints.

Wow. Amazing but scary. As an 18 year old it's a scary realization that you could end up exactly like Caitlin. It brought a tear to my eye a couple times but I loved it all the same.

Not What You Expect. The book was good. But it shouldn't be classified as a domestic violence novel. It seemed like she just randomly threw in the abuse; and it could of been left out. It focused more on family troubles and personal problems than domestic violence. Still a good book, but not as good as I hoped.

Dreamland. Right now, I don't really know what to write. I was compelled to write a review of my initial reaction of the book, but now, now that I've read it, now that I understand everything, I honestly don't know how to express my feelings. I guess I should first address the deeper meaning of this novel. Yes, there are so many story lines, so many problems and plot twists, but I think that's all for show. The author was trying to get across a message. A message of hope, a message of strength, a message of being yourself. I guess I should also speak of the incredible plot line. I was completely impressed with the story line and the author's writing technique. This being my first Sarah Dessen book, I wasn't sure what to expect,but I'm glad I tried out her writing style. While I did think the beginning was quite slow, it was all necessary to give the story it's full potential to captivate the reader. Props for that Sarah. Honestly, I would recommend this to anyone 13+ who can handle violence. If you're still unsure, pick up the sample! You have nothing to loose there.

Unreal. This book twisted my emotions so many different was. It was truly heartbreaking and inspirational at the same time. 10/10 would recommend!

Dreamland. I loved this book so much, it is very thrilling and happy that Rogerson and Caitlin never saw each other again and reassuring (even though it is a book) that he would never hit or touch Caitlin again. Sarah Dessen very good skills at writing maybe a little innapropriate but thrilling and awesome, thank you for such an amazing adventure Sarah Dessen!

Outstanding. This was an incredible book, Sarah Dessen has a way of writing where anyone can take something from her books! She includes real life problems that teenagers struggle with, and resolves the problems in the end! This was the first book I've ever read from her and it got me hooked on the rest of her collection!

A "Must Read". This is a must read for every teen girl or boy. Fiction that reads like the stories out of our newspapers. Very powerful!

Powerful. I absolutely loved this book. While reading it, I became so engrossed with the characters and I'm just sad to have finished the book. The way it all played out was just so...wow. And I understand the feelings Caitlin, the main character, was going through because I felt as if I was living her experiences as well. I definitely recommend this book, especially to teenage girls.

My Favorite!. I read this book maybe 4 years ago, and I still think about it! I checked it out from my high school library and have yet to return it...oops. Will read again for the fifth time soon!

PERFECT: it will wonderfully haunt you. I read this book for the first time 10 years ago. I STILL cannot go more than a couple months without picking it up again. Sarah Dessen writes a story that will drag your heart through the mud with Caitlin and really make you realize the power of love. Well written, great characters, real emotion. Don't let the suburban cheerleader of the beginning of the book turn you off to who she becomes.

Staying up to finish it: worth it!. The book was semi interesting in the beginning, and then once Caitlin had started to get it going with Rogerson, I was pretty much hooked. Then the twist! Oh what a twist! I couldn't put the book down! It was tasty. Honestly, the ending was a little soft for me-but hey, I like my endings leaving me on the edge of my seat, drooling for more-but over all, GOSH that book was amazing. If you like surreal, typical, teenage level romance, this is your book. It sets itself apart from other books and, goodness, I can't wait to read more like it. Oh and I suppose girls will take a liking to this more-so than guys. Just heads up.

Great book!!!!!!!. This is by far the best book I've ever read. I literally read it in a day. I couldn't put in down. It moved me to tears but it also inspired me to find my inner strength and to find my own path and not to follow anybody else's lead. I love this book and recommend it to everyone!!!!

Simple but engaging. I accidentally bought this book and was thus forced to read it. The narrative was very simple, suited for a teenager with a short attention span. This made the story very engaging and every time I picked it up again, I knew exactly where I had left off. I agree with the other reviewers in that the characters were very well developed. However, I feel like if this book was made into a movie, it would be over in half an hour. There isn't much development in the plot, it doesn't get very dramatic or racy (as I had expected reading the other reviews) but it was definitely engaging. I feel cheap having read it, but satisfied at the same time. -Marina p.s. I meant to buy the other "Dreamland" by Kevin Baker.

Unexpected but good. This book broke my heart. I was expecting another dessen novel. I had picked it up wanted to find the happy ending. The comfort that her books brings to all her readers. It was just do said. And so unlike what I was expecting. It was a great book though, just be prepared to cry. I did. I'll tell you one thing though this book makes you think. And I don't think I'll ever forget about it.

My Favourite Book. Seriously, it's amazing. I've read this book at least 5 times and never get bored of it. Very emotional and eye opening.
