Great read. This series is an amazing read... But as the series goes along the books get more erotic... They aren't for the light hearted.

Amazing 🥰. To be honest I’m rereading this series, I think I’ve re read this series to many times to count. I own all the books to this series as I started reading and as more came out I can’t get enough!

My favorite series!!. My mother brought my first book of the Anita Blake series when I just 17..... and it was then I fell in love with the series. I own them all in paperback. Now 20 years later I’ve recently decide to buy them through iBook and reread them!

Woops, I read it all in one sitting. Pretty good. Actually interested to see what happens next!

A Must Read. I couldn’t put it down! Ms. Hamilton is one of my favorite authors and always will be. Anita is funny, flawed, and fearsome.

Better than Twilight. If you like Twilight then you will like Guilty Pleasures and the following series a 100% better. They should have made Laurell K Hamilton's books into a movie series.... The series is addictive from the very first chapter! If you like Vamps, Zombies, Werewolves, ect, ect then you will like this series!

Excellent Vampire & Shifter Series. This is an excellent series, about a vampire executioner and her relationships and status in the paranormal world.

Sets a high bar for supernatural authors. I hope Ms Hamilton returns to this era of her art soon.

Excellent paranormal series. As a fan of True Blood and reader of the Black Dagger Brotherhood I had to try this series when I stumbled across it in a used book store. I only purchased the first on because I wasn't sure if I would like it. Now I am on the third book of the series and needless to say it was a great find and well worth the read.

Guilt Pleasures. Laurell K. Hamilton is one of the premier authors to mix vamps, shifters, zombies, ghouls, werewolves ...... in the genre of mystery, science fiction, horror and fantasy. This is usually not my thing, I preferre only Vamps! but I wanted to try Laurell's first book just to get a taste, and I liked the book. Anita Blake the tough protagonist is not my ideal, but she grows on you as an animator, raises the dead and Vampire killer - that's her legit job. She's out to solve a series of crimes involving Vamps and gets mixed-up with some good and bad ones. There's Zombies and all matter of supses and if this interests you, the book is great. At times I caught myself being unable to stop reading the action was so good. I LOVE the Vampire Jean-Claude so much that I will read the next book in this series and it seems Anita has this strange attraction to Jean-Claude too, but she's supposed to kill Vampires....... 3 Stars, It's no 'Interview with a Vampire' a 4 or 'Dracula' a 5
