Outstanding. This is a great read for anybody looking to start any type of business venture. It will definitely open your kind into a new way of thinking!

Average. It was okay learnt enough to get somebody going!

BEST MARKETING BOOK BY FAR. This is a must read for anyone who is even suspects that they want to do well in business.

Mostly a Rehash of "Positioning". I'd previously read the authors' book "Positioning" and this book basically repackages the same content, right down to the examples (IBM, Hertz, etc.). I recommend this one simply because it's more streamlined (and is properly formatted as an ebook).

Good material!. Good book!! definitely got my head straight for my marketing strategy from now on !

First One Gets The Meat. This book is a Great read. I downloaded it to my iPad and it now works fine. The point of being first and not necessarily the best is a very good point and explained very well in this book.

Review. The book has some good concepts but most of them are outdated (I.e. line of extension, Microsoft is still doing good) I get what he was doing but the execution could’ve been better

A must read. No questions asked. Anyone with any influence over a business must read this book.

Eye Opener. This book was much better than I was expecting. I’ve recently started my own business and was supprised at how many of these “laws” I didn’t know about. This is a good read for anyone in the business world!

Excellent short read. Do not be discouraged that this book is a short read. Despite its short chapters, the authors don’t waste any time. They get straight to the point and get to the nuts and bolts of marketing. Be ready to take notes because regardless of your experience in marketing you’ll learn (or relearn) a lot of great concepts.

Good content, bad eBook. While the content is good and relevant in 2011 (mostly. Some case studies have outlived the 90s), this iBooks version is buggy as bugs can be. Some kind of error keeps appearing each time I rotate the iPad (blah blah, content missing) the images that appear on the 1st page of each chapter keep getting replaced by the '?' icon.

Won't open on iPad. First time buying a book and this one won't open on iPad (error message "resource missing"), only iPhone. Disappointing.

Great concepts. This is a good book that is filled with interesting concepts and perspectives on the do's and dont's of marketing. I think my only problem with this book is that many of the examples are dated. It would be really awesome if the authors would consider making some updates.

Worth reading. While some of the content has become a little dated (including the unforeseen success of Apple, and NeXT’s eventual success in OS X and iOS), the laws themselves ring true, and many of the ideas are transferable/applicable across categories. The writing itself is also good, and the pace of the book is quite steady – it took me about a week to read.

Mostly interesting and still relevant. While dated, much of the book seems to remain relevant in 201. I'd be interested in the authors' views on what has changed in their minds since this book was first published and how democratized media has impacted marketing strategy, tactics and budget. Still, I enjoyed it and found much of the boom interesting and thought provoking. I'll definitely apply some of the ideas in my work.
