Why would you buy it, when you can have it for free?. I love the Book of Mormon. I know that it is scripture inspired and revealed by God to mankind through his prophets. I just don't see why anyone would pay money, let alone $12 or so for a book that is offered for free in both iBook and app form, as well as available for free from any LDS missionary in actual book form for free. I do understand that some apps for it are not free. I bought one of them and I am very satisfied with it, but it includes far more than just one book. I also understand that the developers of the iBook deserve some sort of compensation for their time spent in putting this together, I just don't get why they would charge so much for a book people can get for free from someone else. Lowering the price might entice more people to choose this iBook instead of a cheaper alternative.

Very interesting.. Although I'm an atheist at one point in my life I considered Mormonism after getting disalusioned with the Christianity of my private Highschool/Elementary years. I saw how nice and happy Mormons seemed and My best friends wife is Mormon and I was at that time going through deppression. But I was also starting to read and listen to info critical of religion and supporting science which I had no education of. I started reading The Book of Mormon and was trying to weigh the pros and cons of joining a religion but thankfully I couldn't ignore the facts I already knew of how Mormonism came about. But recently Ive picked the book of Mormon back up again to read as fiction since I still read The Bible and am intersted in religious text. I find it entertaining but their are flaws. There are enormous historical inacurracies but thats not surprising there are in the Bible as well, but these ones stand out a bit more to me. The way its written doesn't flow super well (putting things like "and it came to pass" in front of almost everything). Its interesting to read when it tries to tie the Old Testemant to the New Testemant together more. But because of the flaws I mentioned and the fact that people believe this book to be literally true I'll give it 3 stars.
