The fall. The first book got me in it's grips from the first chapter and I couldn't wait for the second novel. It is going to be torture to await the third installment.

Well now I need to read the next. As horror novels go, I would give the Fall a C+ or a B-. the story is a compelling follow up to the first book. I liked all the characters and the arc of the story but it was clear to me at every stage that this was an act two. Being a second book of three really ups the ante for an author. I love the conceit of the Strain and the Fall but I think Cronins The Passage to be a better book. That said I have invested enough that I will be forced to read the third.

Great!. This is such a great trilogy! Awesome writing and imagination in every page. I cannot put these books down. Happy reading fellow nerds... You're going to love these!

Read it. You'll love it too.. This story is so good. I can't find words good enough to describe it. It's more than a vampire story. The characters are so intense. I love this story.

Amazing. Read "The Strain" and quickly downloaded "The Fall.". It's a page turner that will keep you wanting more. It's not going to win any literary awards but it's for sure entertaining. I can't wait for the next book in this series to be released!!

Exciting page turner. This story was as good as the strain. It interspersed facts from the old book to jog your memory. It has great characters, is very suspenseful, and captures your imagination. I wish the chapters were a little shorter. I found myself rushing through some to get to a good stopping point. This story is a good narrative on what makes us human.

The fall. Great read. Good relatable characters. Not too sure about the nuclear aspect but we will see how some of the loose ends are tied up in the third installment. Del toro and Logan are a seemingly singular intertwined mind. The story flowed with ease, humorous at times and heart wrenchingly unbearable at others. Highly recommended after reading the strain of course.

Great follow up!. This is a great book! I'd loved to see it in the big screen. I hope they plan on making a third.

Slightly better than the first, but.... I'm debating about whether or not to go on to the third book. This was a little better than book one, but the writing is just so-so. Not sure if finishing the trilogy is worth my time when there are better books out there like Justin Cronin's book The Passage.

The Fall. Insane! The second book in The Strain Trilogy is a heart-stopping good time. I never read a book actually on the edge of my seat until now. I do not see how the authors can top this book but I hope with all hope, just as Setrakian, that they can.

Book 2 was no good. I stopped reading after 10 pages. There was nothing there of interest.

Worth reading. Starts a bit slow compared to the previous book, but we'll worth the read. Can't wait to read the final book.

Captivating. Just like the first one, this one too you can't put down!

The vEmpire Strikes Back. Love it. Great twists, revelations, and back-story. Just finished it and although I'm excited for book three I'm more drawn/excited to revisit the Strain with the back-story knowledge from this book.

The Second Act. Not as powerful as The Strain but that's normally a given for the middle of a trilogy. Yet a thrilling read, setting the ground for the final chapter of the trilogy. Can't Wait!

The Fall. I happened to choose the first book in this series..The Strain..on a a one week trip.it was fascinating and I couldn't put it down....it was devoured in just a day! This one is even more compelling. Read the first one...you will be hooked so much you will get The Fall. Well written,keeps you engaged with the realness and depth of characters....can not wait for the last book to come out!
