As usual worth the read.... While I am pretty much off the Richard bandwagon, he was less annoying than usual. Asher was the whiner this time around. Anita said it herself, can they all be happy at once? There were so many new characters that it was hard to keep them straight. This is definitely a cliffhanger and I will be looking for the next one...

Bullet. A real page turner!

Okay.... This book was kinda slow and not too exciting. I know things happened in it that are needed to move the story plot forward, but I felt myself skimming a lot of it.

Disapointed. I have read every single 'Anita Blake' book, love every character (Richard is my dream man) cam hardly wait for the next book in the series to come out but this one?? This one was what?? I mean really? What was this one about? What was the purpose of this book? Im not saying I won't read any more 'AB' books and I actually look forward to the next one but I'm just lost about this one! Even the sex was a little too much in this one. I mean...wow...at a loss for words for this... :/

Talk about taking a bullet.... I remain happy with this series of books and I'm delighted in the turns and twists each book takes. More than several of the earlier books, this one has a quality of a coming of age story - one which I really enjoyed. Thanks for another great read!!!

Disappointing. I have enjoyed the books less over time - too much whining, not enough action. I thought Ms. Hamilton was making a comeback - until the end, which just fell to nothing with a paragraph or so to wrap up an enormous build-up. I agree with the reviewer who felt that it just appeared that the author gave up. I don't think I'll buy another one in this series..

Ending a bummer. While the book was as good as the other Anita books, the ending was a disappointment.

Bullet. Not bad, not great. Hamilton's series has suffered over time, going from a great series with mucho action to more of a series of not-too-badly-written vampire/werewolf romance novels. This novel, like several other recent ones, just seems to go on for a while, then end. It was actually somewhat better than the last few, until, like several others have mentioned, it just ended. No great protagonist, no climactic battles, it seems maybe she just ran out of steam. I'll still be reading the series, but more out of hope than out of true interest. Hopefully the meredith gentry series picks up a little more.

Bullet. I love this book. It opened another side of the main character’s personality. I love that there bring other were animals into the story. I look forward to reading another book of hers.

Worst series ever!. I wish I could give a half star.

Disapointing ending. Actually a little more action than usual in this version, but the characters spend a lot of time being tortured by their indecisions and of course then torturing us. With a huge buildup for the crisis of a thousand or so years and the promise of "an exponential increase in power" once all the tigers could be called by Anita, the ending was pathetic, almost like Laurell got tired of writing.

Loved it!. I'm exited to see how these books will continue this was deff a start of a new chapter in anita's life!
