A great read. This is the first Stuart MacBride book I've read, but it certainly won't be the last. Rounded, believable characters and dialogue which will make you smile.

Broken Skin. This crime novel gives the reader a great sense of the reality of policing with the drudge of police work always just under the surface. The subject matter concerns an Aberdeen footballer accused of rape and of other criminal activity that are in some ways linked. Stuart Macbride masterfully guides the reader through all of the problems throughout a cold winter in the granite city. A read that has you hooked from the first word to the last.

Wonderful dialogue and brilliantly written!. I read the two latest books by Macbride (ash Henderson) and that's how I discovered the brilliance! So funny and sarcastic in places, there's no getting bored!

Fantastic! My favourite author of the moment.!. Macbride sure knows how to grip authors from the first few sentences in every book of his I have read and people I have borrowed the book have agreed! I actually bought this book from Waterstones and not as an iBook but I let compelled to write a review to alert others to the sheer talent of Stuart Macbride. He is a fabulous author who weaves real humour into his sometimes rather graphic writing and this works really well! I will be completing my collection of Stuart's books most definitely, I recommend this author to anyone!
