Sad. Although the story is tragic it was very slow...

Very emotional.. The worst part of reading this story, is remembering that the events truly happened to someone. Usually when you read a story and the sad parts are just too sad, too unreal, you know that they're just made up. But in "Helpless", Marianne Marsh brings tears to my eyes and shakes to my anxiety as her she tells her wonderful terrible story. I strongly suggest this book to anyone strong enough. It's very heart warming, heart wrenching, and basically a page turner if I've ever read one.

Captivating story. Read in only a few sittings, is a heart wrenching story that keeps you interested hoping for a happy ending. Would love a sequel with the man next door getting what he deserves.

Helpless. Brilliant book. What a terrible childhood Marianne had. I would recommend this book to others. Be prepared for sadness though for the abuse she suffered at the hands of not only her sleazy neighbour but also her parents.

Heart rending. How she even survived is an amazing feat of its own. Found some days it was hard to read, such cruelty leaves me speechless, I cried and was wanting revenge but you rose above all this and live a life now full of love and peace. You are so deserving ,bless you.
