Good when it could have been great. Just as the summary promised this book is frustrating, tragic, and raw. However the writing is cramped. Each sentence chops after the previous making the story seem rushed. I think this book could have easily been at least a 600 word story but rather the author decided to cram it all into a mere 222 pages. I felt a bit let down in that aspect but other than that the story is wonderfully sad and is one that everyone will remember.

Outstanding. This book is incredible. It shows a side that no one ever thinks about. Things that happen in the darkness. Things no one ever hears. It shows how someone so broken can come back and save what they have become. I recommend this book to anyone. It really changes your view of life. A MUST READ.

Great Book; Must Read!. This book is a must-read because it is amazing! "Alice's" struggles and Ray's abuse are what make the book so intriguing, I had to fight myself to put it away. I do warn that this book is not a light read, I was almost sick more than once, but do read this book, the ending will tear you apart!

Living Dead Girl. I LOVED THIS BOOK! From start to finish this book was so amazing that I could hardly put it down and read it in a couple of hours. The characters are very well written especially Alice as you feel what she has to go through. I highly recommend this book!

.... It made me cry in realization of my own horror that happened to me... It was amazing and jaw dropping...it reminded me of what happened to me and the lengths ppl will go to be cruel and ruthless... He disgusted me and she tugged at my heart strings... No book will ever be my favorite. This is #1

AMAZING. To be honest I read this book in 1 day! I just couldn't stop reading it was so good ahahahah! I recommend this book to young adults (teens)! I'm 13 but I'm very mature for my age and I could handle the book. It was very exciting and sad! But so amazing!!! You definitely need to buy this book so worth it!

Truly Wonderful Book. I read it all in one day and I didn't put it down for a moment. This is truly a tragic but amazing story which really teaches kids a lesson of what happens in the real world.

Heartbreaking but bewitching. - a terrible story no one really wants to hear or believe. But so brilliantly written with a worthwhile ending and a very important theme. I give it 2 thumbs up.

Wow. Wow... That is all I can say. There is no words that can describe the emotional depth to this book. One of those rare books that really changes your perspective. My mouth hung open the entire time when I read this, it was so sad. But the rawness of this book was to shocking to make me cry.

God.... I love this book. Ray is such a mysterious character, and so is Kyla/Alice. I especially love the last chapter: I am free. Breathtaking. Worth reading over and over.

Captivating. This book is disturbingly sensational, a true masterpiece. Showing a world from the eyes of a victim in terms hard to speak. The author definitely puts a detailed twist, and phenomenal ending to this beautifully written book. Perfectly memorizing!!!!!!!

Scary but amazing. Couldnt set this book down and read it in less than 2 hours. Amazing book but I wish I could forget it. The ending was different than what I thought it would be but still great overall.

This was a very sad book,it makes you want to save her from the evil person who stole her life,her innocence,her trust in mankind.the book note say's this has never happened to anyone,but I beg to disagree it has probley happened more then we know,so many child abductions,some we find dead,some we never find at all and who knows what is happening to them,they may be living this story today,and we know nothing about it.this world is so full of evil people just waiting and watching our children who we love so much,just waiting for that one golden moment to snatch part of our life away,so they can fulfill theirs.and yes you could meet them on the street and not have a clue.So many people look the other way ,deep down inside you know something is wrong but you do nothing,because you do not want them to say mind your own business,or you do not want trouble at your door,so you stay quiet and when you do that some poor child's life is over,So please when you think something is not right speak up,it might just be your own child or neighbor you save,this poor girl in this book made me cry for her,and hate the sob who had her,, it's a very good book but like I said it's also an eye opener ,

Disturbing... Quite an interesting book but I think the psychology of the characters could have been developed further. The writing isn't great and it's a very expensive book considering its so short, around 300 pages on iBooks, probably 100 pages in paperback form, not really worth the money but I would advise getting it out of the library.

Wow. I am 14 years old and I found this book absolutely amazing. It was just so sad knowing that this stuff actually happens to people in real life. I defiantly recommend this book but not for anyone under 12.

Disturbing, but freshly written, gripping. An easy, fast-paced read not for the squeamsh. If there is abuse in your past, you will recognize the terrain in this novella. If there isn't, you might not like learning about this new world. So true to life, I am not sure I want to know about the author's life, past life, hurts, pains. Amazingly true to life. A dark, disturbing read that is so well-written, you cannot resist the siren call of the next page. Be prepared.

Beautifully Written. This book is amazing. It feels as though you are actually there, Living her life. Though this book is on a heavy subject, I Absolutely adored it, and its one of my favorites. I loved it and would read it again in a heartbeat! <3 Definately Reccomended!! <3 <3 <3
