9 year old loved it!!. This is a incredible story that I loved! I was moved by it and would totally recommend it. The saddest part in the book is when you finish it, I hate saying goodbye to the characters.

Touching realism. I have never had a dog or cat as a pet nor have I wanted one. But after reading this story, I begin to glimpse why they are so beloved by many. The author does a beautiful job telling their story as an observer without giving them voices.

This is the best book!. I always take so much time to pick out a good book to read, but this I can't believe that this was the best book I've read in a long time and it took five minutes. It is by far the best book I've read in, like, forever. It was heartwarming, thrilling, and funny. My daughter and I read it together. It has great vocabulary and isn't the least bit babyish as I thought is would. I highly recommend this book to kids 10-14 years old.
