Highly derivative. If you've read the LotR trilogy, you'll easily be able to place events described there with events in this book. It can be a fun read, but my biggest sense of excitement came from seeing how the author would modify Tolkien's work in each chapter. If this book gets listed as anything more than free, it's a ripoff. Lowering my score now that he's actually charging for it.

LOTR wanna be. This thing is such a bad rip off of the lord of the ring as to not be funny. Seriously it's obviously frodo Sam gandalf & a not so bright aragorn. Don't waist your time. Well he at least threw in 9 dwarves to switch it up slightly.

Shard. A really nice read. Well written. Very much in the Lord of the Rings style but an original story well told.

What a quiffing shame!. Totally agree with everything Mikanos has mentioned. Although you forgot to mention the annoying words in CAPITALS that plague this book! Such a shame.

Poor poor poor. Unoriginal storyline, obviously unedited (e.g. Names of swords inconsistent) or even proof read by someone with a decent grasp of English, constant and annoying use of 'inverted commas' often for no grammatical reason, significant sections of text devoted to reminding me about things I've already read in this book. The only reason I gave this 2 stars is because it was at least interesting enough for me to want to reach the end, but I did not enjoy it. Pity, as with some effort it could be a decent, if unoriginal, story.

Shard. Good story, lots of action, little long in some descriptions, overall very enjoyable.

Shard. Enjoyed this book immensely. It has a canny resemblance to the hobbit and the lord of the rings, Never the less, still a good read. I will look forward to the next book.

Loved this!!. Absolutely amazing! This book had me so pulled in right away, and it only got better. And more addicting. I thought it was a single novel. I was looking forward to a one book story but when I realized there is a pt. 2 I was surprisingly ecstatic, can't wait to dive into this world again. Very well written, I love your creation of races and monsters. 6 maybe 7 stars if I could. Thank you

Shard. amazing read ... lots of action and great character buildup...also loved the fact that it made me think about other known books of the same genre ... loved it!

Great read!. This book had me on the edge of my seat! The plot, characters and setting were well described and I felt myself loathing the "Slaths". Only criticism I have would be that it is missing a couple of chapters, but overall still a great book. Well done!
