I wouldn't.... The story is lacking and the grammatical errors are frequent and distracting.

Fine effort, especially as a free download. A well-crafted effort in the style of Ross MacDonald, 'The Damage' could have benefited from a more convincing climax and better explication of the characters' motives. That said, the book is a nice bit of hard-boiled fiction and and a pleasant way to pass a Sunday evening. As with many other free offerings, the book is also rife with minor spelling and grammar errors, which detract from the overall impact.

Well written. Pretty easy to follow and an interesting read. Took me like 2 hours, A few spelling/grammar mistakes but I would recommend it.

Boring. The entire book is poorly paced, has a dull climax and offers little in development of characters. Not worth the time to read it!

Good Flow. This is the first timeI have read a book by this author. I believe he has the potential to be a great writer. One aspect that I experience when reading a book is the flow it has. When the flow is smooth, as it was in this book, you are reading a good book by a good writer.

The Damage. I really enjoyed this book and will read others by this author. Proof reading, if at all possible, should be done. I really got a laugh out of page 221, I hope you read it and laugh too ! Thanks !

Needs proof reading. The story is good and the characters engaging, but there were numerous spelling and grammatical errors. Reading with those errors was very distracting from the story and very amateurish.

THE. DAMAGE. First I've read by him, and won't be the last. Enjoyable, with a good mystery to solve, as well as interwoven with family and friends. You get to know Lucky, I'm sure there more to uncover about him, and maybe Mona.

Errors galore!. Did this author forget to proofread? There's numerous typos, grammatical mistakes, double negatives, poor sentence structures. Makes for a very bumpy read.

Decent Story. The book is decent enough to finish. It has no real climax and horrible editing.

Really?. Here's someone who professes to be a writer. We should be able to assume he took courses in English, correct.? Spelling is so bad it is distracting, and unnecessary if the "author" would have just used the spell-check button. Worse, how hard is it to research that the female version of the name "Frances" is spelled with an "e"? That is so basic it took me a while to realize he actually made that mistake. Weak effort.

The Damage. Other than the fact that it could use a little editing, it was a great read. Having spent several years in SF, the use of locales brought the story to life. The tale itself was believable as were the characters and descriptions. I have expended good money for much worse reads. Get an editor and keep up the good work.

Kept me reading. I read this not sure what to expect but was very pleasantly surprised. Kept me reading through to the end. Has a nice gentle but still tension filled ride. I'm going to read the next one too.

A pretty good read. The story was good. There was quite a lot of unnecessary additional information given that didn't serve to develop the character and story line. And the editing was typically sloppy for an ebook. But a good read overall.
