Bone Bed. Disappointed, foul language unnecessary, Scarpetta has gone from a strong character to someone who sees every woman as a threat to her career and her marriage. I think all the characters are becoming head cases. I have read every one of the Kay Scarpetta books and this just may be my last. The last few just have not been up to the same standard that the earlier books were.

The bone bed. Please Patricia lighten up with Kay. The story lines between Kay, Pete and Lucy are so dark these last 4 books that I don't think I'm going to buy the next one. And I'm a huge fan. Sigh.....

Clever but Tough. Sometimes the flow of the verbal dialogue between characters and the main character’s thoughts and musings were difficult for me to separate.

The Bone Bed. This is a typical Kay Scarpetta book written by Patricia Cornwell with the typical climax that completely lets the reader down. I cannot recommend it.

Bone bed. Very disappointing book.

The Beast Within. I have enjoyed reading Patricia Cornwell’s Scarpetta series for several years now. For some reason I liked this one a little better than the rest. Maybe because the “gang’s all here”, maybe because of the psychological aspects, the why we tick the way we tick. Human beings can and do have a breaking point. There is obviously a lot of homework done on this one, per usual, and with some mild twists and turns. The Douglas Burke character almost went to far, but then when she died I thought, “I would’ve liked to see her sent to Louisville, and then maybe at some point a psychological profile be completed”. But that’s just me.

%&/+. Was in The middle of it, and now cannot get it back.

Love Patricia Cornwell!. I came to reading her books late in life. Started with a gift of an audio book, Trace. Ever since then I've been hooked. Should have guessed I would like her books, cause my Mom reads her books! Thanks Mom! avp

The bone bed. Nice! Captivating reading

Not her best effort by any means.. The tension just wasn't there. I didn't get involved with the characters and I never felt Scarpetta's life was endangered at any point. A very lackluster job.

Must read. Excellent one in the series!

The Bone Bed. Rather hard to read. Words and sentences don't flow like her other books. Very difficult to follow or anticipate. Character building is shallow. Topic is predictable. I knew she would become a victim again.

The Bone Bed. This book was well worth the read. As always Patricia Cornwell knows how to tell a tale. Dr. Kay Scarpetta continues to evolve as a character and I always look forward to her adventures. I find it hard to put these stories down. Solving crimes and tracking serial killers is Dr. Scarpetta's speciality. If you enjoy a spell binding look at forensics, all of the Scarpetta books are good.

The Bone Bed. Scarlett's is beck in form. After Red Mist I was afraid I'd lost one of my favorite reads, but this one says I have more to look forward to.

The Bone Bed. Cromwell, whose work I greatly admire, has gotten too technical for my enjoyment in this novel. Her science has overpowered her plot, I'm afraid. I also think that her ending was too quick and convenient. This is the first book of her's that I would not recommend.

Frustrated. Also cannot download. Keep getting message that I already purchased the book and to click download, but when I do, I get the same message again. My money has been spent for nothing!!

The Bone Bed. Not a good book, disjointed with changes in the same paragraph. Difficult to follow with the changing from one character to another with no indication of who is who

So good!!!. This was a real page turner!! She kept you guessing the whole time. One minute you think you know something and then you turn out to be completely wrong!!! It's a must read!!

The Bones Bed. Another excellent book by Patricia Cornwell. This really had me going and I had no idea who the killer was. Great!

The Bone Bed. As usual, Dr. Kay put the reader in her shoes as she's looking at evidence, extrapolating theories, and trying to put together the puzzle of murder. I thought I knew the culprit early on, but once again I was surprised. That's one of the reasons I like the Scarpetta series. This jaded mystery reader can experience the thrill of being caught off guard.

Disappointed. This book seemed too hung up on the details of the medical examiner process, too much "soap opera" and not enough mystery. Probably my last Patricia Cornwell read.

Bone Bed. This book is a waste of time and money. Three different crimes that don't really get tied together until the very end of the book. The murderer is not introduced until very late in the story and there is absolutely nothing that points to him until the very climax in the last few pages. I can't believe it got 3 1/2 stars.
