Cookbook series: Italian Food is a series of 12 volumes developed with the intention of presenting “authentic” Italian cookbooks. This is because Italian cuisine, though loved and appreciated, is often a victim of free (and sometimes imaginative) reinterpretations.
Assets: Each volume includes 60 illustrated recipes from the Italian culinary tradition, without any re-adaptation in terms of preparation techniques or choice of ingredients (for this reason, the typical ingredients used in recipes are described and illustrated in a special section of each volume, where possible alternatives are also recommended). Quantities are indicated both following the international metric system (g, kg, dl) and the Imperial system (oz, lbs, cups).
Contents: This cookbook will teach you how to prepare some healthy legume or vegetable soups that are typical of the Italian country cooking tradition. For more sophisticated lunches or dinners, try the appetizing creams or velouté sauces. Finally, we could not leave out the famous Italian fish soups, like the cacciucco and mussel soups, as well as many other great tasting recipes.

Soups. I just found the cookbook on soups, my favorite! I tried the Cream of Fennel Soup. I measured all the ingredients out in advance, and so it came together easily and quickly!
Soups. Simple, delicious, cheap, fairly fast and healthy recipes. Thumbs up!
delicious soups!. Nicely written book with great pictures and simple recipes. It’s hard to believe that with a few major ingredients you can make such wildly delicious soups!
Stews. I bought this book out of sheer desperation because my boyfriend loves soups and I hate them. I made the Cabbage Soup with Bacon last night and…we both loved it! Very easy to make, the hardest part was probably peeling the potato!!
