Simply a great read!. This is such an easy book to read. I felt as if I was watching a conversation take place before me. You are pulled in by the story of Pat's up bringing. It is easy to see that Richard Head was the source of most of her success. He put in Pat desire to never settle on what was easy. Thank you Coach Summitt for sharing your story.

Sum it up-what a fun read. My first words after finishing this book were " I am sorry to be done". What a joy to have an insight into a woman who engineered the greatest women's basketball program in the world. I have had the distinct pleasure of watching the Lady Vols play the Kentucky Widcats for the past ten years and seen some of the greatest women athletes in the country, most of whom played for Coach Summit-much to my chagrin (I confess I am a Wildcat fan who bleeds blue). What one sees on the court are these gifted confident athletes who have an expectation that the game is theirs and no one is better. This memoir gives such insight into how that has come about. Thanks to you, Coach for sharing these moments of your life. I enjoyed every one.

Pat Summit. Very well written - great book - motivational and just a fantastic story. I'm not even a devoted basketball fan, but Pat's story is just so compelling, I might have to start watching! Wishing her the best of luck as she fights to live life to the fullest with Alzheimer's.

Greatness. I have been a fan of The Tennessee Lady Vols program and Pat Summitt for more than 20 years! They're "my team" and she is "my coach"! With that said I'm pretty sure that most will think my liking of this book is totally biased... Which is probably right! But, I can say without a doubt that I'm confident that even a UCONN fan will appreciate this book too! The writing of this book just shows how much of a fighter that Pat Summitt is and will be! This book is a must read for any sports fan not just a women's basketball fan!!!

Powerful. Thank you coach Summitt. I could not put this book down. I was captivated from start to finish. I laughed so hard I cried at points and there were times when I simply cried. There are so many excellent coaches out there but there will never, ever be a coach as great as Pat Summitt.

She made it look so effortless and elegant that I never realized what she was living through. And the positive influence she had on so many other women sets a precedent we should all strive to follow! Pat smashes the stereotype that women don't mentor each other; she's a beacon of hope that we will realize how key that is and emulate her. In awe of what she accomplished in her life and only wishing the love she gave so freely sustains her as she challenges this illness. Thank you for an honest and gracious life and story!

Sum it up. What a read! Not because I love women's basketball, not because I am Tennessee Volunteers fan, but because this is an incredible story. My favorite "old timey" word is gumption . This book and Pat Summitt have gumption. 5 STARS and then some.

Ky fans for Pat!. I am by far the biggest critic of Tennessee athletics. I am and have been a kentucky fan for right at 30 years. Pat Summit however is by far the best thing to ever happens the sport and she deserves every bit of credit for that. This book is the first book I have read of hers, as I had no interest in her career at Tennessee. However this book lets you see into the life of the wonderful person Pat Summit is. I just finished reading it, and I intend to start again soon. There are ups and downs throughout the book, but you have to love everything to do with Pat. Se is truly someone that will go down in history as not only a wonderful coach, but a wonderful person all around. I hope everything works out for her, and I truly wish her the best of luck in her future.

Sum It Up. Awesome book! I am not a basketball player or basketball coach, I am just a high school PE teacher interested in reading biographies. Pat Summit was an excellent teacher and you will learn so much about her and many of her players when you read this book.

God Job! No typo!. Bravo Pat! Your character and courage are unsurpassed! I laughed,I cried,I cheered, and I got IBS from reading this book! I got out of coaching because of that and reading this book actually brought it back! God has and is using Pat to do amazing work in this world!

Amazing and Inspirational. I would highly recommend this book to anyone that has a family member suffering from Dementia or Alzheimer's, or anyone that just needs a pick me up. I am the farthest thing from a University of Tennessee fan you could find, I bleed Carolina Blue, but Pat Summitt is such an inspiration!! What an amazing career and life she has led and is leading. She is someone anyone can look up to and should look up to1 Keep up the fight Pat we are all pulling for you!!

Thank you Pat. It takes a lot of courage to share the ups and downs of one's life. Add to that this extraordinary story of the transformation from farm girl to Olympian to college basketball legend and the diagnosis of Alzheimer's. Pat has done it all and her legacy will live on in the lady vol's program. Pat is right, god has a plan for her and I believe part of it is to find a cure. God bless you Pat & Tyler. As a kid in southwest Louisiana I had to do a book report for school I chose to do it on Pat Summit and the Lady Vols and fell in love this book is everything if not more that I anticipated. An exceptional read and an uplifting story that stresses to keep reaching and not be satisfied with where you are always look for the horizon. A must read!!!

To Pat and The Lady Vols. I have keep up with Pat since our teen age years. We are the same age and played Basketball at the same time at different Tennessee high school. She is the reason Ladies Basketball is where it is today. This is one more wonderful book and life lesson I am a Director of Sales for a group of Car Dealerships and going to buy this book for all my sales managers reading this book has gave me insight of my shortcomings. Outstanding!. Such great insight into the inner world of the greatest coach in women's basketball. I learned so much about Pat's leadership skills.....albeit tough at times, but necessar as those skills sculpted and influenced all of the girls who came through Tennessee. Highly recommend this book. Thanks Pat!

Sum It Up. Have been a fan of Pat Summit since she began coaching. Her books are easy to read and are very entertaining. Her sense of humor and honesty are appreciated in all of her books. My thoughts and prayers are with her through this next challenge she is facing.

What?. I thought I was buying a book about Alzheimer's disease. That is definitely not the case with this book. I would not recommend this book at all. Not even one star but, you had to give it that to submit. Sorry.
