A wonderful Read. If you are a fan of Alex Guarnaschelli's "Alex's Day Off" TV Show, you will love this book. Every page is utterly infused with her charm and warmth. In my cookbook library, I focus on books the give depth to the why as much as the how. I don't have any tolerance for a book that is just a list of ingredients and a few instructions. This book takes the concept a step further and gives a further dimension. You get not just the how and why, but also what the recipes mean to Alex as a person, be that wife, daughter, or mother. This book is like being invited into Alex's home and cooking with her in her own kitchen. Form a purely technical standpoint, this book is a masterpiece of the functionality available in iBooks Author. You have the ability to take notes, play videos, make shopping lists.
