One sitting - amazing!. This one had all the feels and I’m still reeling hours after I finished. I love all Vi’s books and this one definitely did not disappoint. My only advice is not to start late at night - I couldn’t put it down and lost a night’s sleep. Oh so worth it!

OMG. I just dont have any words! Vi you have done it again. This was such a beautiful story. Beck and Nora’s story was amazing. The back and forth banter was funny. I have to admit, I cried after Louise. And then Nora i almost didnt finish because i got so attached to Nora and wasnt sure where it was leading, but i just had to because it’s you! My only issue was how it ended. I was hoping that we could have found out more on how long she lived for. But i really did love it. Amazing job! Thank you again for another amazing book.

A One of a Kind Love Story. This story was simply amazing! By far one of my favorite books ever by Vi! The characters, the storyline,and everything in between was just perfect. Once I started to read I couldn’t stop. Not your average love story, but certainly a love worth fighting for. Everyone deserves a love like Beck.

Loved every page of this book. This is one of your best Vi. It made me laugh, cry and want to find my Beck. It reminds you life’s best lessons and makes you realize what really matters. This book was very heart warming. I held my heart through most of it coz I thought it’s gonna explode from too much love.

Something Unexpected. Really enjoyed reading this book!! I loved the characters - Nora, Louise, and Beck! A delightful surprise to find an uplifting book with a dark and scary theme! All end of life patients should read this - it may also spark joy to remember how great it feels to fall in love!! Truly enjoy the highs and forget the lows of roller coaster rides through life - and start a jar with scraps of paper that remind us of every blessing in our lives that we can randomly select from when tough times appear to remind us of really good times!

OMG. I couldn’t put it down, read it in a day! The chemistry between Beck and Nora off the charts, but Gram made the story for me. Absolutely loved her. I was laughing out loud, then crying so hard I don’t know how many tissues I used. Fabulous book

Couldn’t love this more if I tried. I have been in a bit of book funk. And this book reeled me right back in! I Love This Book!! Nora I won’t try with her 49 years older than her bestie. She is running interference between Louise’s grandson and Louise. Because he is a grumpy stick in the mud who has interest in keeping her safe and not living out her bucket list. While on their trip she runs into a HOT guy at the bar. And guess who it is??? Mr. Grumpy Grandson!!! Beck is dreamy. Dominate. Sweet. And loved his grandma. So much. Nora is dynamite. A phenomenal Friend. And a free spirit. This perfect is perfect. Dialogue, plot, characters you fall in love with. Soooo well written. Highly, highly recommend

I laughed and cried with Beck and Nora (and Gram). I would like to say that this book was an unexpected surprise, but Vi never fails! Beck has a grandmother who is determined to live before she passes away, and her partner is the exquisite Nora. This book is so much fun living through their adventures. It’s beautifully written, with some heavy undertones that give light to meaningful conversations. I highlighted many passages that have great life lessons. This story will stay with me for a long time and I wish I could read it again for the first time!

A Tearjerker. I gave this book 3 stars because I read this genre for happy stories. I finished it but literally cried through half the book and that’s not the type of story so was looking for. The ending felt rushed. Love this author but would have skipped this book if I knew the actual story arc!

Great read!. This booked had me hooked from the beginning! Had a really good plot twist that you didn’t see coming! Loved every page of this book! 10/10!

Something Unexpected. Well, the title says it all! Wow, this was definitely an emotional roller coaster for me. There was a great bit of humor but also deep emotions. I loved Nora and Beck’s story but Louise was such an important part. Maddie was such a sweetheart and Jake was the comic relief! It is a must read but make sure to keep your box of Kleenex close by! Thank you, Vi!

Loved it. Whenever I pick up a new book from Vi Keeland I know it will be a well written, memorable story that will draw me in and hold me captive until the last word.   From the first word Ms. Keeland had me hooked. When I read the blurb I knew that this was going to be one of those stories with characters that you cannot help but fall for and I was right.   Eleanor (Nora) and Beck, I loved them both. The sparks flew between these two the moment they met and didn’t sizzle out. There was so much passion, romance and witty banter that I had a hard time putting this down when work got in my way; it also moved me to tears.   An unforgettable story and one I cannot wait to listen to in audio.

An unexpected & an absolute favourite read of 2023!. Wow! Something Unexpected was definitely an Unexpected story and one of my absolute favourite reads of this year! This book was brilliant and gave me so many feels. Im really not sure how my review will do this book justice! Beck, his grandma, his brother and Nora are characters that have embedded themselves in my heart. Grandma Louise an an absolute hoot. However the underlying sadness in this story, coupled with the live life to the fullest moments, made me think, wonder and hope for all involved. Ms Keeland has outdone herself in writing this masterpiece. Absolutely wonderful and a definite must read!

Loved it. Vi created characters in this book that didn’t just come to life, but felt so real they had a pulse. Only the third book ever to make me cry. I loved every minute on the emotional roller coaster and how it made me think and reflect on my own priorities and choices in life. Vi always takes you on a journey that is a little bit unexpected and I always finish her books wanting more!

Simply great book. A wonderful story.

Unexpected. I have always been all in for Vi. This story is aptly named because it was unexpected. I read it all in one sitting. Those Gramma’s always have their grandson’s wrapped around their finger…even the CEO, hot broody one! Beckham nailed that! Once he met Nora things got spicy! Hot sexy bits worked into a story about your dying grandmother~ not easy. But Louise is determine. to live out her bucket list dragging Nora along! The twist you never see coming is Nora was also at the end of her life! But Beckham falls in love with her. Its a great story of living, loving and giving yourself the right to be happy. I cried more than once. While some of the story seemed oddly placed~the HEA was less than I hoped for maybe that was the message~ you accept what you have, love it while you can! Enjoy!
