Good!. I would give this book a 4. I was expecting more romance between two characters, but I had to remind myself that it’s a Young Adult fantasy. Hopefully in the next book there will be more romance. Also, the idea of the book doesn’t seem like a new idea, but it was a fun read. I read it in two days! It definitely helped me get out of my Iron Flame slump.

Enjoyed this book. This book has a lot of tropes, but I’m not against it. A lot of knife to the throat threats. But overall a good read. Book is very hunger games-esq.

Everything I never knew I needed. This book is incredible! It’s as though she put all the books that have branded themselves on my heart and combined them in a story that has done it again. It is everything I never knew I needed. And I will be counting the days till book two as my only pass time.

Bad writing :(. I follow this author on tik-tok and was honestly hoping for more. The story had potential but I couldn’t continue reading after the 10th chapter because the writing and dialogue was so choppy and hard to read. The details and general content fell flat for me. Maybe I’ll try and pick it up again but idk

Such a fun and easy read!. The whole thing kept me on my toes waiting to see what would happen next. Finally a book that lives up to the hype.
