What an amazing finish to the series. The American is the 5th and final book in the Unlawful Men Series, and Wowzers what a ride. I do recommend you read the books in order, as all the characters cross over throughout all the books. Jodi, Jodi, Jodi…. What are you doing to me lady? Dang, this book was the perfect culmination. What a way to wrap up the series. We are thrown back into the criminal underworld of The Enigma, The Brit and The American. Like a storm brewing, this book was full of chaos, craziness, angst, drama, lies, secrets, and multiple plot twist. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. But, it’s also full of strong willed, possessive, alpha men, and the fierce women who love harder. This book is full of love, hope, and redemption. You will be laughing, crying, and throwing your book all at the same time. We are on a roller coaster ride as we get get caught up with Danny, Rose, James, Beau and now Brad and Pearl. Brad didn’t know what to do with this brave, beautiful red head that came into his life like a tornado. We see the struggles, his underestimation of the connection that they have. The struggles to realize that his life while full of chaos could be so much more than he ever dreamt of. Pearl was his kryptonite, and she saw him for who he was. Never judged him, and understood him like no one else ever could. Her past will leave you astounded, she’s one tough cookie. I love how Brad and Pearl ended up being each others light throughout all the darkness. Loved getting the updates on the whole gang through out the book. I can’t wait to listen to the book on audio. And, the 3 Epilogues were a great wrap up. Sad to see this series come to an end! But, it sure was endgame.

Simply amazing. JEM did it again...waited with bated breath for this one and she did not disappoint . I am a huge This Man and One night . I have to say she never disappoint me and I cannot wait for This man the movie.

Explosively brilliant!. I have no words. This book was out of this world fantastic. I couldn’t get enough. I would read for hours on end never wanting to put it down. The story is so intense with thrills throughout. Brad and Pearls chemistry is unstoppable even as they try to fight it. And there’s a couple mind blowing secrets that are also exposed during this thrilling suspenseful storyline. And the suspense and mystery was constant thoughout. But I also couldn’t stop cracking up through the entire thing. The things that come out of these characters mouths and their actions will having you rolling. My husband kept asking me what I was laughing at from the next room over. And my response was usually something like “just someone almost getting killed in my mafia book.” Again, Jodi wrote a truly fascinating story. And what a knack she has for writing mafia. I truly hope she’ll consider doing another mafia story line down the road. She’s out of this world good at it! And I’m truly crushed that this is the end of this crazy family’s story. What an amazing ride…. Thank you Jodi. You are quite a gem!

Outstanding final book!. Ms. Malpas gives us The American, Brad Black. Cousin of The Brit, Danny Black. And of course no excluding The Enigma, James Kelly. The final book in the unlawful men series. And what a finale it was! While this is Brad and Pearl’s story. The book is told in four POV. And all the characters are woven into the story. Which I really appreciated because it made it that much more gripping. Pearl had me in awe of her. She lived the most horrific of times. Absolutely heartbreaking. But that young lady is so freaking strong and resilient. Brad wants nothing to do with the woman he rescued. But he’s also obsessed with her. These two may dislike each other and always bump heads. But there is also an undeniable chemistry between them. And when it’s let loss. It’s absolutely explosive! The story was bittersweet, exciting, filled with passion and suspense. Unpredictable twists and turns that are stunning. Unforgettable men and the strong women they love. And an end that ties everything together brilliantly. One last thing the cover is so freaking gorgeous 😍

Raw and gritty. We are back with the men we have come to love in the Unlawful Men Series for one final time and what a book to end the series with. Can I do this book justice ….well here goes and I hope the words I have struggled to find do the characters and their story the recognition they deserve. This is Brad Black cousin to Danny and Pearl Kennedy’s story and I knew from the first few pages I was reading something very special. I was excited to catch up with Danny Black and James Kelly and I was intrigued to see what Ms Malpas was going to give us in the final book. Brad has always been there for Danny and James but when Pearl finds herself in danger it’s time for them to step up for him. Can Danny protect the one he loves and more importantly will their relationship survive. As in the previous books this is a raw and gritty story that draws in and doesn’t let you go, it has twists and turns you don’t see coming and men you can’t get enough off and let’s not forget the women who steal their hearts. I was captivated and I was up most of the night because once I started there was no putting down so be prepared to make time for this amazing read.

Brad has always had their backs and now it’s time for them to stand with him. Will Brad be able to keep Peal safe, or are they destined to be torn apart by the violence that surrounds them? The American was a raw, intense, and at times violent story that will suck you in until the very last word is read. .
