He has worked hard at his career and is holding down a high-profile and well-paid management job. The only dark cloud on the horizon is the impending conflict in Yugoslavia - the country where his wife grew up.
Without warning, a remark by his psychologist friend Susan causes a frightening emotional reaction deep within his soul. Over the following weeks his emotional turmoil intensifies, and he is forced to face up to the painful truth that he has been living a lie for much of his adult life. In an attempt to understand his deep confusion, he embarks upon the most intense, painful, and yet wonderful journey of his entire life. And he soon realises that the past is here to stay...
